This was a great short, practical course on jQuery widgets. I found it while searching for guidance on how to incorporate a datepicker, and the course answered it in 3 minutes. The rest of the course also provided great tutorials on other commonly used widgets. Highly recommended for quick and easy UI help.

Quite handy and small clips, however, the videos could have been better especially around the time when you wrote the CSS in the style.css couldn't see a thing as the course banner was covering it. For anyone enrolling this course go for it.. the video covers all widgets that you shall use on almost all projects

I loved the real world applications. The use of source code and the HTML output in a browser repeatedly. This suits my style of learning as I am a visual learner. I am a Deaf person so the auto captioned feature was crappy unfortunately. Hope to see more of your short and sweet courses in the future. Thanks Deaf Dave.

The course is just the right length to give the student an idea how jQuery UI Widgets work. The only few downsides to this course is that it is old and that the last class about buttons is outdated to the point that not only the code provided is different but after several tries I wasn't even able to make it work. I have also noticed that the instructor has actually stopped answered questions of students who left queries. Lastly there were a few widgets left and it would have been great to get a small tutorial on them as well. I am not really complaining it was a great course and pointed me in the right direction :)

I use to have hard time understanding the application of JQUERY in my applications because i write ASP.NET C#, after taking this course i now learn when to apply the widgets even though i need more in dept , however this is a head up and innovative idea is born in me. Thank you and keep up the good work

Marie has the perfect presentation voice and understands her material well. Her pace is great as she shows you step by step what she is doing and why. Unlike many instructors, so much time is spent on smaller details that one becomes distracted and bored. Now if only she more courses in my areas of needed instruction! :-)

Barebones, as the instructor said. No theory, just implementation. I'm taking a Udemy JQuery course while I'm viewing this one, and they complement each other well. This is a really quick way to implement a really complex and functional ui element without having a clue as to how it works.

It all makes sense now after watching the video... The docs, sometimes to beginners, don't always make sense. While there's not a lot of helpful video tutorials and/or examples already available, this was the perfect start. Anyone interested in learning more about jQuery UI and using it's features, this is the 1st place to start!

Excellent! Marie has a clear, well-paced speaking voice that is easy to hear and understand (a problem with some other instructors). Thus, the material is easier to understand. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I thought a brief overview of theming or CSS enhancement would add a lot.

I have a lot of HTML/CSS experience and some JavaScript but had never worked with the jQuery UI before. I feel like I picked up quite a bit of useful knowledge here. Marie is a very competent instructor and did a great job with this course. I would definitely take other courses from her. Considering that this course was free, I would give it 10 stars if I could. Thanks, Marie for putting together such a well-structured course.
