Originally designed to help students pass the now-retired Cloudera Certification exams, the material remains useful for those wanting to practice their skills on Spark and Hadoop clusters. However, its primary focus was certification preparation, which many students successfully completed.


Prepare for the data analysis section of the CCA Spark & Hadoop Developer certification and help pass the CCA175 exam.

This exam preparation series has been designed to help YOU pass the Cloudera certification CCA175, this is a hands-on, practical exam where the primary focus is on using Apache Spark to solve Big Data problems.

On solving the problems contained here you’ll have all the necessary skills & the confidence to handle any data analysis related questions that come your way in the exam.

(a) There are 30 problems in this part of the exam preparation series. All of which are directly related to the data analysis component of the CCA175 exam syllabus.

(b) Fully worked out solutions to all the problems.

(c) Also included is the Verulam Blue virtual machine which is an environment that has a spark Hadoop cluster already installed so that you can practice working on the problems.

• The VM contains a Spark stack which allows you to read and write data to & from the Hadoop file system as well as to store metastore tables on the Hive metastore.

• All the datasets you need for the problems are already loaded onto HDFS, so you don’t have to do any extra work.

• The VM also has Apache Zeppelin installed with fully executed Zeppelin notebooks that contain solutions to the problems.

An amazing course! Great for practice.

Best course available online for CCA-175!! I cleared my certification this week with all questions correct. VM provided is very similar to exam environment(exam environment is slower though). Difficulty level of questions provided is much tougher than the actual exam but practicing these will provide you lot of confidence. There are very minor errors in the questions, hopefully it will be rectified soon.

Would recommend getting all 3 of Matthew Barr's practice courses for CCA175, and going over these questions. Once you feel confident with these questions, you will be more than prepared to pass the CCA175. Just passed exam with 100%.

Excellent course for practice CCA 175 certification exam. It helps me a lot to get used to with the certification environment and solving the questions with in given time for exam. The questions are really good and so does the answers explained by author. I could able to pass the exam successfully using this. The virtual box ENV provided with is excellent and you don't need to buy any online subscription for practice.

By far the best practice course or rather a platform because it ships with a free VM that helps us to directly practice the mock questions , without having to download other resource intensive distributions like CDH, HDP or Cloudera QuickStartVM. Highly recommended for anyone appearing for the Exam. The questions are bit more realistic than other courses, so its better to practice it.
