Course Description

From Google Translate to Netflix recommendations, neural networks are increasingly being used in our everyday lives. One day neural networks may operate self driving cars or even reach the level of artificial consciousness. As the machine learning revolution grows, demand for machine learning engineers grows with it. Machine learning is a lucrative field to develop your career.

In this course, I will teach you how to build a neural network from scratch in 77 lines of Python code. Unlike other courses, we won't be using machine learning libraries, which means you will gain a unique level of insight into how neural networks actually work. This course is designed for beginners. I don't use complex mathematics and I explain the Python code line by line, so the concepts are explained clearly and simply.

This is the expanded and improved video version of my blog post "How to build a neural network in 9 lines of Python code" which has been read by over 500,0000 students.

After studying at Oxford University, I was struck by how the best professors made very complex ideas easy to understand. That is my mission. I believe in bringing the breakthroughs occurring in Artificial Intelligence from inaccessible academic papers to anyone who wants to learn.

Over 500,000 students have read my blog post "How to build a neural network in 9 lines of Python code". I'm excited to bring the expanded video version to Udemy.

I'm an app developer who's been thinking of learning more about AI and machine learning for a while now. I couldn't resist trying to "build a neural network in 77 lines of codde", and I'm glad to have taken the course. It's a great introduction for anybody new to the subject like me, and Milo is a fantastic teacher. 5 stars!

Excellent course. Recommended.

Very detailed step by step walk through. Even helped point out some bugs I accidentally wrote. So cool how quickly you can learn to do machine learning!

A very good course for getting started with machine learning. Most courses in this subject usually go into detailed mathematics which makes them quite complicated for beginners.

Milo is focusing on the important bits and this makes the topic much more understandable.

Also the course goes into practical examples very quickly which really helped me understand the concepts and logic.

Machine learning is a difficult subject and I definitely suggest starting with this course.

it is nice

It's the first course I've ever taken on neural networks and Milo's teaching makes it really accessible, and easy to grasp the core concepts. I'm not particularly mathsy, and yet I still felt like I was able to get to grips with the basics. Milo is really a fantastic teacher. He explains the concepts incredibly clearly. He applies the theory you learn in the first half of the course in the second half of the course, taking you step by step through what each line of code is doing and how that relates to the theory. It's exciting when you finally get to run your code and when you realise that you've created something that is 'thinking' on its own. Thanks so much Milo!

A great course for someone who is a beginner in machine learning!

Milo explains the theory behind neural networks in a simple and easy-to-grasp manner.

The theory part is a necessary prep to understand how the neural network learns by adjusting the weights to minimize the error.

Something quite complex delivered in a way that you can understand and follow, even in the hands-on coding part.

I just lit up when the code gave the correct output prediction! :O

I'm amazed! This proves that you don't need a PhD to create a neural network on your own!

This is the best course I've come across for someone who is just starting out in machine learning and wants to understand the concept, as well as get a hands-on practice.

I was very new to the subject and thus was looking for a quick intro to the topic. Milo made it easy to grasp how machine learning works with a really good practical example.

I definitely recommend it to people who're interested in machine learning and want to get an interesting insight into how it really works.

Excellent!!! Very clear and very concise teaching.

Simple and clear explanation. This is what I was looking for.

the explanation from the instructor is very clear, this course is a perfect starting point for a beginner.

I found it very clear! It's awesome! I feel I grasped the idea behind Neural networks pretty easily and quickly! I m super happy! The teacher is very kind!
