Love this course! Save yourself $100's and buy this course. I've been everywhere when it comes to guitar (blues) courses. Start here and keep coming back. This course has explanations, technique drills, applications, styles. All organized well, and starting from ground zero. Not only does he teach you the tools, but he shows you how to use the tools, where to use the tools, and even when not to use the tools. The ear training is also very valuable to newer blues students. I bought the chop building course before I bought this course, and now the chops course is free! haha its ok though. Mark's technique is mind blowing, but of course I'm no SRV myself. He's a grrrreat teacher! Not sure if he is active on asking questions though. Many people are asking for tabs, with no response. It might help if you know your pentatonics and intervals inside the pentatonics. I've bought other courses, so this stuff is not really new to me, but he showed me how to better use the tools I've learned throughout my life. I used to sort of meander through the scales and positions. Like using a wrench as a hammer haha

Instructor Bio

I've been a professional teacher my entire adult life. I have taught thousands of people over the years to play all levels and all styles. A music composition major at Arizona State University, I also graduated from L.A.'s Guitar Institue of Technology. In the late 80's I was featured in Guitar Player Magazine's SPOTLIGHT column, and in the early 90's was George Lynch's guitar instructor. (He of DOKKEN fame.) I created George's instructional series for R.E.H. videos and worked with George on other projects. For the most part, though, I was one of the lead instructors at the Music Store in Mesa, Arizona where I taught thousands of students over the years. I currently reside in Sevastopol, Ukraine where I moved to master the Russian language and to share American rock and blues with a part of the world that knows little about it.
