Master Hibernate and JPA with Spring Boot in 100 Steps (Udemy.com)

Well, i bought this course but started learn it too late to make refund. Why i wanted refund for this course: - I listened teacher in headphones and his speaking rate and pronunciation with indian accent which i couldnt listen because in some places he talk loud and fast but then some quiet and slow and all this happens again and againin different combinations... - old versions of java and hibernate from 2017. Teacher must update it because, for example, how hibernate works with new java records? - Didnt understand things because teacher couldnt tell about it. For example, annotation PersistenceContext just exist and why he injected EnityManager like that in 43th video but then he inject it through Autowired... - If i buy lectures i expect to receive explanations with schemas and pictures and animations to easy understand. But i got excel tables instead of EntityRelational model... - Idk why were spring data rest there. Just told about 1 mini-case. - I think that i dont need videos at the end of topics and which congratulated me and told me how to study better. Its just a lot of waste of my time. I think teacher should take them to separate free course to help his students in that way. - A lot of code in github repository and you must find examples by your own. I think if i payed money i must have examples one by one and got full code every time. It can be made with different branches or repos. - a lot of words. - 14.5hours is very large for this. - eclipse is not my choice For those who know something about spring and hibernate this course doesnt help. You'd better read something on your own. I dont understand why such high rating because you just buy videos.

I had a little experience in Java REST SpringBoot application since I've previously worked on it during my internship days and still wasn't understanding the concepts of Spring Data from JDBC to JPA. Now with this course and couple of hands-on experience, I fully understand and able to grasp the knowledge in Spring Data JDBC and JPA. I would seriously recommend developers who going to approach Spring Boot to further understand the concepts and features used in Spring Data JDBC and JPA and this course is no exception. Great course!

The course covered a lot of topics - from the dawn of objects-relational mapping (using old technologies) to what we should use in modern day. Many people may be turned off by old materials, but having a good knowledge of those will give you a better understanding and appreciation of how things are today. Ranga is definitely a very good teacher. The pace of teaching is very reasonable and the examples are straight forward.

This course is really amazing, being a beginner to Hibernate, I can confidently say that I have learnt a lot from this course which is certainly going to help in my professional career. I really appreciate the way of explaining every small details which is required. I am looking forward to subscribe for other courses of 'in28minutes' like Microservices, Full stack development and Clean code with Java.

This is an excellent course. Ranga explains these topics in a very clear way, and with good examples. The course is quite comprehensive, and I feel much more comfortable in these programming areas now that I have completed the course. I think it will be helpful if you have a basic understanding of SQL and relational databases, but advanced knowledge is not required. Many topics in JPA and Hibernate are explained in the course partly by showing the SQL statements that are generated by Hibernate, so understanding basic SQL really helps. (I had only simple experience with JPA and Hibernate before this course, but I have worked with SQL Server in C# for many years, and I have used Java for about three years now.) Also, although the instructor uses Eclipse, I used IntelliJ with no difficulty (I am familiar with Spring development using IntelliJ). If you take the course, be sure to complete it - after all the good topics in the main part of the course, the final modules on caching, performance tuning and other development tips were very useful. I do think a few more complicated entity persistence examples could be added to the course, and using asserts in the JUnit tests instead of just logging and debugging would be better.

This course was designed with lot of small steps when compared to the other 5 courses that i've completed.. the smaller steps created an enthusiasm as well as made me to enjoy the learning even though there were 153 steps... This is very good course. Though I am not newbies in the Java web development and have experience with Spring Framework, Hibernate etc., this course gave me a lot, helped me refresh information and understand more deeply JPA, Hibernate and other important things used in developing Spring applications. I like also teacher style and explanation which is detailed and good to understand. Thanks a lot for it.

Could understand the very basic of Hibernate. Since it was a course of Hibernate and JPA there were too many unwanted Spring lectures. I think it was almost equal no of such lectures, which I didn't want in this course. A lot of use of outdated things. Too much focus on Spring instead of Hibernate and JPA.
