Hemang Doshi's course for ISACA's Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) Exam - Updated 2026

Created by: Hemang Doshi

Last updated July 2026

Our take

Based on the ratings of 8,067 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in July 2026. No course pays to be reviewed.

Hemang Doshi's CISA course is a supplement to ISACA's official materials, and the description says so plainly. It walks through all five domains of the Review Manual in about 23 hours across 243 lectures, with 108 quizzes and a set of flashcards. It is aimed at people who come from outside IT. One reviewer, a law graduate heading into data protection, said it finally made the technical definitions click. The course has 46,334 students and a Bestseller badge, and it was last refreshed in July 2026.

Most of the praise is about clarity. Reviewers describe the explanations as simple and broken into short parts, with summary notes after each. About 85 percent of the 8,067 ratings are four or five stars. The complaints are consistent too. The audio is poor, the slides look dated, and several people say he mostly reads them aloud. A few find the accent hard to follow. The bigger issue is the quizzes: some reviewers say questions, such as the network devices set, cover topics the lectures never taught, and practice answers come without explanations.

Treat it as a first pass, not a complete study plan. Reviewers who like it tend to pair it with ISACA's question database and the official manual, which matches the instructor's own advice. One student called the price moderate and affordable. Pick it if the manual reads like a foreign language to you. Skip it if you already work in IT audit and mostly need hard practice questions, or if clear audio matters a lot.

Best forNon-technical candidates, like law graduates, who need the CISA Review Manual explained in plain terms.
Skip it ifYou want polished video and audio, or a practice-question bank that matches the lectures exactly.

Pros

  • Explains Review Manual concepts in plain terms, which suits non-technical learners
  • Short segments with summary notes and quizzes after each topic
  • Covers all five CISA domains, with 108 quizzes and flashcards
  • Refreshed July 2026 and described as aligned with the latest Review Manual

Cons

  • Audio is weak and the slides look dated, with the instructor often reading them aloud
  • Some quiz questions, like the Network Devices set, cover topics the lectures skip
  • Accent is hard to follow for some, and practice answers come with little explanation
Makes tackling the 5 module monster a lot easier, but definitely reccommend supplementing with the CISA Question bank!

Listed for all levels with no prerequisites. Reviewers say true beginners cope, but passing needs extra question practice.

very informative segments that are broken down into mini parts putting the pieces together and provides summary notes on what we learned, incorporating questions to bring home concepts. clear to understand and organized.

By Russel Zindoga on 6/12/2026

A very good course that explains concepts clearly, however the information is a bit choppy and some QAEs ask questions of stuff not taught in that section. Would absolutely recommend to anyone planning on taking the CISA exam

By Dolapo Adeloye on 6/10/2026

This lecture and practice tests were amazing. I really learnt a lot of things i didn't know while i was reading on my own . Thank you for helping us with this lectures and the amount paid was moderate and affordable which i believe an average student can afford.

By Pratik Jaiswal on 5/6/2026

Good explaination of concepts and practice of CISA type questions. However the question bank at the end of the course is way advanced than the topics covered in the course.

By Abdibasid Ahmed on 4/24/2026

I'm currently going through Hemang Doshi's CISA course and so far the experience has been great. The structure is clear, the explanations are easy to follow, and the mix of short videos, notes, and quizzes keeps the learning steady without feeling overwhelming. Still early in my journey, but it's already helping me think like an auditor rather than just memorize concepts.

By Momoore Sontan on 3/9/2026

CISA by Doshi on Udemy was by far the most helpful and simplified in preparation for the exam. In a world where you have a bulky and discouraging manual, Doshi's Udemy was definitely able to make me grasp key concepts and the follow up questions after each topic gave an insight to how the exam could be. It's advisable to study the manual as well but Doshi's Udemy is definitely a great starting point.

By Khaled Ghanem on 2/15/2026

The practice questions in Section 62 “Network Devices” are not well aligned with the course content. Many questions cover topics that were not explained or mentioned in the notes or lectures. This makes it difficult to understand the material. I recommend reviewing and updating the practice questions to better match the lecture content and study materials.

By Alexander Leake on 2/11/2026

I saw this course recommended on a forum as a good way to prepare for the CISA, and having completed half of it, I'm very satisfied. Doshi goes just in depth enough with the topics he covers, providing examples for a lot of the concepts, and the practice questions that bookend nearly every video put you in the right mindset for looking at how this information will appear on the certification exam

By Carlos A on 2/3/2026

Amazon course! I like how direct and to the point it is. Hitting on all the major points. One thing I would suggest is to mute the background noise that is distracting while studying. The background noise should be silenced to ensure we are able to focus on the material. However, with all this said, this is still a really great course.

By Imran Karim on 1/24/2026

Some of the answers to the questions were not noted to assist if the respondent got it incorrect. There was bit of an accent that hindered some of the understanding. The course was good and made me understand the basic concepts i missed otherwise.
