I wasn't aware that I'd need peg bars and lighting instruments. That came as a surprise but that's not the fault of the course, it's my folly- I knew nothing about animation before this. During the lockdown it will be hard for me to procure these things, so maybe I'll skip on directly to the 3D part (I know that is not the purpose of this course but there is no denying the ease of computer animation).

The course needs to be updated so its compatible with the latest version of toon boom, the interface in the videos doesn't really match up with what I downloaded. I was also expecting more instruction than just the bouncing ball and the walk. Mastering 2D animation is a bit of a stretch on this, it should be something like Introduction to 2D Animation or 2D Animation Basics.
