Mastering Amazon Redshift Development & Administration (Udemy.com)

The course was OK, very basic at the start. lost 2-3 hours just to cover DDL / DML and basic database. I understand that course-recorded approx in 2016 / 2017 onwards a lot of the screens have changed by now. There was no information on the screen that the UI had changed. The UI changed information shared in Section 12 onwards from 2018 -Jan 2021. I took this course in December 2023 and there were no course updates after Feb 2021 till Dec 2023 There was some missed leading example in the course as well for example section 14 (135 TIMETZ data was stored as 1:00:00 in the EST time zone and Redshift stored data in the UTC timezone which was 06:00:00 UTC, but the instructor said it was 6:00:00 in EST. En cuanto a la teoría, aceptable (3 estrellas de 5). Tuve que complementar conocimientos con otro curso y mucha lectura de artículos de AWS de manera independiente. La teoría expuesta sirve de guía. En cuanto a la práctica, 2.5 estrellas de 5. Punto por mejorar: transcripción escrita de los módulos en el idioma que sea (pero que pueda procesarse en traductores).

The Redshift service is pretty huge topic, and the instructor did a good job of covering the most crucial aspects and plus covered new feature releases especially the cross cluster data sharing lab. The topics, I wish threw more light was on the SUPER datatype, and more depth on classic vs elastic resize. Redshift is releasing features like anything, and I look forward to seeing more of these covered.

The course content is good, satisfied for me but the voice in the videos fluctuating. It sounds very bad. I changed speaker, and then, computer, even I arranged my equalizer several times, unfortunately it does not work. Sorry mate, your voice is sometimes saturated and makes the courses difficult to follow. Only things you needed to do is you should have used a quality and professional microphone when you record. i believe there is no problem in your English accent but the mic you used is terrible.

Not sure why but the way the instructor is explaining is making me sleepy. Please sound more energetic while explaining the theory

Faculty reading ppt's instead of explaining. and many examples supplied as resoruce are not working. faculty reply also not satisfactory.
Difficult to follow course.
Found that mentor lacks understanding of what is being asked. Gives random answer and argue on ratings
