John Christopher is a Technical Instructor that has been in the business for 25 years. His first experience with information technology occurred in the early 90s when he ran an MS-DOS based BBS(Bulletin Board System) as a System Operator. In the late 90s, after working with Windows NT 3.50 performing backups for Regal Group, he decided to get Windows NT Microsoft Certified.
In 1998 he got his first Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Microsoft Certified Trainer certification. Shortly after getting certified, he began working as a Junior Administrator and Instructor for Knowledge Alliance. From there John was able to become one of the first people in the world to gain an MCSE for the Windows 2000 operating system and he began teaching full time for a company called Productivity Point International. At Productivity Point, John got Citrix Metaframe certified and began teaching Citrix along with Microsoft classes. Productivity Point began experiencing financial troubles and John moved on to work with another training company in 2001

I am not new to IT and had taken many instructor led trainings costing thousands of dollars per track but I will tell you this: It was a delight to go through this course, John's teaching method is impeccable, clear, and sufficiently in-depth with good examples and pointers to more information on particular feature/topic. I look forward to taking more courses from John hopefully all of them would be as good or better.

Overall the course is pretty good! The Instructor explains the content, and the tasks he does very well, and in the screen share video of what he does, I can see clearly how to do those tasks. My only suggestion of improvement is for the Assignments: Currently, the assignment is more like a walkthrough - the student (me), is shown which buttons to click, and what to fill and type in. It would better test our knowledge if it asks us to click on the buttons. Every time, we click the wrong button, or in the case of a form, we miss out mandatory info, it shows us a message "Incorrect, try again". But if we choose the right button, or don't make any mistake, it lets us carry on as normal. I understand this will require some new software to implement. Section 7 'Manage User Profiles', the instructor explains and shows how to do it very well! That is the same for most sections.

This was a truly great course John. You have explaned a complicated subject in a very easy to follow format. I have already passed my MD-100 but I liked this course so much that I am going to buy your MD-100 course as well and revisit the subject. John - do you haver any courses on general support/helpdesk subjects please. If not, can you recommend any teachers on Udemy please? Thanks very much for an amazing course - you are an excellent teacher. Mat

Give me great overview of how things works if you want to become a system support specilaist. course does not teach in depth it's just a general overview you, if you are serious about your career after wathing this course you have to find out or do more reseach on how things works suc has deploying app using windows autopilot, how to configure endpoit and intune. It only gives you idea and then you will find your own path! Highly recommanded for those who are new to this industry...

This is a great course if you're just getting started with the concepts. The teacher uses very clear language to explain everything and there are demos for all concepts. Therefore, I highly recommend this course as a starting point for your studies towards the MD-101 exam. However, your chances of passing the exam by relying ONLY on this course are extremely slim. You'll need hands-on practice, which the teacher tells you how to do; you'll also probably need a book to complement the content, plus a ton of practice questions. Start with this course, then use other materials to solidify the knowledge and skills.

I took MD-100 Windows 10 Microsoft Instructor Led Training Course created by John Christopher, and it was of great help to me, I did pass the exam on the first attempt. That's why I didn’t hesitate to take this course as well. John has put together an amazing amount of knowledge. He takes teaching very seriously, and you can feel it in every in depth explanation, about any topic, that he teaches during the course. I highly recommend these two courses MD-100 exam and MD-101. As a recommendation, always look for more materials specially from Microsoft.

I have been using Microsoft 10 for a while but this course has definitely showed me a lot of new features with all the cloud based settings and applications. I don't anticipate that I'll be using it in my job settings due to the contract I'm on, but it will be useful as I move to new positions. The course was very informative and touched on a lot of subjects. I hope it will be helpful as I sit for the MD-101 exam.

I feel that given the amount of time spent on each topic, a load of insight can be gained from watching these videos. I enjoyed the practical walkthroughs, backed up with the demos students are asked to complete. For the amount of time this was a great course, and offers enough information to "try it for yourself" so we can get started with a background in all areas. Really grateful for your knowledge sharing, enjoyed the delivery as well! Very pleased I chose this course and would recommend (already have ;)

Looking good so far, I'm an IT Engineer that was involved in many deployment projects and this course has shed some light on the technical side of things like how it was done/setup in the back end I have used light touch installation many times but was not able to explain in full detail at interviews. If there was to be a PDF version too it will be great. Thanks

Super useful course. I was able to use this course to pass the MD-101 exam without much difficulty. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to get a good review of the topics in the exam and get some exposure in how to manage devices using Intune. I do have some points for the people that are going to take this exam and are considering buying this course: - In this course, co-management is mentioned briefly (at least, from my perspective). However, in the version of the exam that I took, co-management was kind of a big deal and there was a lot of focus on how to implement it, step by step. I would recommend others to review co-management in depth separately, even try to spin up some VMs with SCCM so you can get comfortable with the steps. I think the instructor could try going more in detail in this topic, maybe even some coursework which explains the steps or gives additional information about this topic. - Device profiles, compliance policies and app protection policies were explored in some detail on this course, which is a reflection of what I saw while taking the exam. However, to be able to pass the exam, you need to know which profiles contained which settings and what order would you implement them. Maybe what could be added are questions at the end of the section just to motivate people to poke under Intune and see where common settings are located (e.g. which type of profile allows you to report unapproved installed apps on an iOS device? Answer: Device Restrictions Profile; specifically the setting under Restricted Apps -> Approved Apps). Some of these settings are not that intuitive based on the naming convention so adding that to the course would be a wonderful addition. Besides that, you can't go wrong with this course. If you want some good review on the subject matter, I'll recommend you get it.
