MVVM in WPF Survival Guide From A to Z (Udemy.com)

The course covers a great amount of advanced material on MVVM. However, the content is very concise, and one should expect to spend some extra time with outside documentation while following along. Probably not the best first introduction to MVVM (nor does it claim to be), but really good for anyone trying to gain more in-depth knowledge. Some of the code, such as the section on Caliburn.Micro, is unfortunately outdated as of July 2024.

With my knowledge of wpf and it's quite a bit of knowledge, I have to say that there were things that were quite clear and not particularly new to me, but there were quite a few things that I was completely lost, and it was really hard for me to follow them properly. I would rather watch 6 hours straight of one video, explaining two real projects one WPF without MVVM design pattern and the other with MVVM and really understand how useful MVVM is. In any case, the material itself was delivered relatively well and easily For someone who just started learning WPF yesterday I wouldn't recommend watching this early on.

The instructor is very knowledgeable on the subject, and all the code is provided to follow along. But I find the information too "condensed". I prefer a slower pace, one at which I can code along with the instructor. Instead of copy/pasting large chunks of code, and not always explaining why we need this code. I often have to watch lessons two or more times. The content is great, the delivery method less so.

Covered each and every point in details in very ease manner. and examples are also very easy to understand. Really appreciate your effort to provide such valuable course. Many new concepts I learned through this course despite having more than 3 years' experience in WPF development

He does expect you to have some knowledge of WPF. I don't have a lot at all. So this course is more of a class on highlights. I may have to revisit it later. One problem is that I had to slow the course down. HE speaks to fast for me and I put captions on. They are not perfect but the captions help. I really like the section on Dependency Injection

Good course that covers enough to get a great start with Mvvm. Good examples with good explanation. I think I learned enough to create my own powerfull applications.

This course helped me a lot, great teaching I recommend to everyone.

Instead of really explaining WPF MVVM, Nuget frameworks are used. This may reduce complexity at first, but it does not provide the desired learning effect: understanding and applying MVVM yourself. You can do something like that but then it should be in the course title, like MVVM using Caliburn micro. Anyway I feel betrayed.

If you are new in MVVM or even C# I'm strongly recommending - do not buy this course.
Despite the author is experienced person in wpf, mvvm, patterns, he is having no idea hot to teach programming.
This course is mix of terms, patterns, frameworks, without any clear explanation how it works together.

Started off great, but then it became confusing and there are lots of missing parts and grey areas. There appears to have some cross-overs with his previous course as well and it makes the course not really intermediate level, but just new features introduced all over the place and a short improvement to the game app. Very disappointed.

Finora non ero pratico dei principi legati alla gestione di WPF, View e ViewModel per cui questa spiegazione mi molto utile. Il corso non semplice, ci sono tanti concetti da assimilare e spesso pu essere necessario riguardarsi le lezioni. Visto l'argomento trattato per, abbastanza normale.
