Course Description
All of these questions are hand written by an experienced instructor with over 20 years of experience in the field. I have based each and every question off of the objectives directly from CompTIA to help you prepare to take and pass the CompTIA Security+ SY0-701 exam on your first try as many of the students in my live classes have done!
I have written thousands of practice questions very similar to these for college courseware vendors that are used globally for IT courses. If you've taken a college course with a CompTIA certification as part of the curriculum, it's possible that I was the one that wrote the questions throughout the course, including your midterms and final exams.
These 5 practice tests are broken down by domain and individual objective so you can see where your strengths and weaknesses are and spend more time studying up on the areas where you might need a little more practice. You'll have between 1 and 2 minutes per question in these tests, though on the actual exam you'll have 90 minutes for up to 90 questions. Be sure to read each question completely and thoroughly to be sure you understand exactly what the question is asking. Just as with CompTIA's questions, sometimes questions may have extra information that is irrelevant to what is actually being asked, while other questions will be very straightforward.
Whether you found this course through my YouTube channel or through my website or through some other method, I'd love to hear any feedback you might have about these questions. Feel free to contact me anytime!

I've been working in the IT field for over 25 years in a variety of roles. I started off building computers in the 1990's as a teenager and then started doing technical support for dial-up ISPs while I was in high school. I've been a web developer, project manager, and solutions architect for large national and global companies. After getting burnt out in the corporate world, I was offered a gig teaching part time and loved it so much that I decided to make it my full time job. I love teaching complex topics and seeing the light bulb turn on in students minds as they begin to grasp how these things work and why we do what we do. If you're looking to advance your IT career, I'd love to help you! I currently hold over 25 certifications including Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT); CompTIA Technical Trainer (CTT+); ISC2 CISSP; AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Developer Associate, AWS SysOps Administrator Associate, AWS Architect Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Machine Learning Specialty; Microsoft Azure AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-204, MS-SQL MCSA, etc.; CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CySA+, CASP+, Linux+, Project+, Cloud+, etc.; Project Management Professional (PMP); ITIL Foundations and Practitioner; and some more alphabet soup.

Great Way To Study Each Domain, As This Is How I Study To Ensure I Have A Great Understanding. Tests Can Use An Update, Although Great Resource To Prepare For The Exam.

The questions seemed very close to the security + exam questions. This course teaches how to answer a question let alone being able to unpack answers that could be close to what the question is asking. Very good course study. Thanks

Questions are good, however, in the explanation for the answer it would be good if you could explain why the other options are not good. Most of the case, this is clear, but there are other options, where for example in my case, i was not sure. Appreciate your effort.

This course has been a tremendous help to me in preparing for the Security+ 701 Exam. Some questions and answers were contradicting causing me toto dig deeper into getting a clear understanding of the concept or answer. It's very challenging, relevant, and consistent with the objectives. Great course!!

Great way to test your knowledge in each domain and see where you're lacking, some questions aren't perfectly aligned with the exam objectives, but overall, an amazing way to prepare for your sec+ exam!!

I cannot give a comparison of actual test questions but did like the way it was broken into sections. Also noticed a lot of misspelled words in the questions.

These questions are awful. Purchased multiple practice exam packets and used a variety of different sites to pre-test before the actual exam and these were by far the worst.

Question 53 on test 4 needs to be updated to have "(Choose two)" at the end of the question. I was marked incorrect unnecessarily because the question did not make mention that it wanted two answers the question regarding DNS command line queries. The correct answers were dig and nslookup but I was marked wrong for only choosing nslookup. It must say to choose two options to avoid intentionally misleading the test taker.

Helpful learning about networking authentication and encryption protocols which is a HUGE portion of the test. I like the answer explanation at the bottom of each question

I've taken the CompTIA A+ and Network+ courses with David in the past and now getting ready for the Security+. He's probably the most knowledgeable instructor I've ever had and I've really enjoyed hearing the real-world examples he's provided. These practice questions are awesome, thank you David!
