After graduating from film school in 2009 I dove straight into the Toronto film industry Directing and Producing a variety of projects such as music videos and short films that have screened at festivals such as Tribeca and Toronto International Shorts. In between projects I also work on big budget film and television such as Suicide Squad and The Boys.
When not on set I'm on the road working with bands, shooting documentaries, and creating other independent projects. Even while traveling for vacation I can't seem to put my camera down, because when you're passionate about something it becomes second nature.

I gave this course 5 stars because 6 stars was not an option. This was the best videography course I have seen so far on Udemy. His speaking pace is excellent. His use of photos, video, and CGI to illustrate what he is discussing is really well done. I highly recommend this course.

The course was short and straight to the point with some good tips that I can definitely use. However, I don't consider this to be an advanced course. Overall it is a good semi intermediary one.

This was a great course - quick and to the point, but with enough detailed information to understand the reasoning behind what was being covered. It really felt like I was learning tips from a pro the entire time, as I went into the course knowing each lesson's subject matter at a fairly solid level I thought, but came away from the course with a much deeper understanding. As they say, you don't know what you don't know! If there was one thing that I felt could've been better explained, it was the back-lighting scenarios. There were a few photos of a face under different back-lighting setups, but no description or diagram to explain them like there were for the three-point lighting scenarios. I really liked the look of the lighting in those photos, so it was a bit disappointing to have it not explained.

This course has taught me so much! It is jam packed with education and tips on how to shoot better photos and video's. It is hard to find courses that really help all levels and are delivered as well as this one. I am looking forward to signing up to Scott's other courses to continue to grow my skills. 5 stars hands down!

I've always wanted to create my own short films, web series and music videos...but I never went to film school, and despite having a number of unique concepts and ideas, I quickly realized I needed a lot more training to get my projects to the professional look and feel that I wanted them to be. This course does an amazing job in giving you quick, straight to the point tutorials on everything from the camera/technical basics to more advanced creative tricks to make whatever I shoot look above and beyond the competition. Definite recommend!
