Oracle Database on AWS: Exploring EC2 & RDS from scratch (Udemy.com)

I liked the content; there were examples to show how to implement things and check on certain things within AWS. I benefit from this since I am a visual learner. Could have been better had a handful of the lessons did not work would not run. Other than that, pretty good course.

This course was good....but need more DBA specific tasks user management ,tablespace management ....all these things under AWS how they work...that want to know ....more commands and vidoes on that would have been handy .

Interesting course from 0 to AWS base knowledge for the ones who don't know already it. I rediscovered some good stuff to know ! :) Oracle EC2 and Oracle RDS sections are also interesting to follow. Regarding Oracle RDS I had the chance to practice a few in a recent past. The author doesn't detail about Options Groups menu (Oracle) and especially Database Parameter Groups which is used to change and customize (most) Oracle Database parameters. So some more sections could be added in that way. In my own opinion that's a lack of the course Sound quality for some sections are not homogeneous and should be improved. I nevertheless globally enjoyed the course Thanks you Kshitij for the step-by-steps practice examples ! :)

I thought the course was very good. The problem I had with it is the instructor words fade off and several times I didn't understand what he was saying. I did have the captions on ... the translation from instructor to words was atrocious. Someone should really look into a better translation tool. Also, when the instructor goes to the Windows screen to enter commands, change the background from dark to light and make the font bigger ... both of those changes are for easier readability. Outside of these issues, I think the course was very good.

I appreciated your effort. I would recommend anybody who is looking for Oracle on AWS or Oracle on AWS RDS . Training was so technical and detailed. Also you may prepare a few use case scenarios regarding cloud migration / problem solving / performance tuning / sql tuning. thanks a lot

very informational course. All concepts are explained very well . It gives me confidence to manage Oracle Databases on AWS in real world Note. - It will be better if more labs (step by step) are included in the course which students can follow and create exactly same environment in cloud

The scp command to transfer rpm to ec2 instance does not work on windows. I spent over 4 hours googling and yet to find a solution. I have done many other courses on udemy where care is taken to address such difficulties in OS other than the one the trainer is using. The trainer should think about these things.

This is an excellent presentation. Initially(before starting the course), I didn't expect you are going to give this much clear information on each topic. Once started I realized and getting much more interested in each topic. Because you covered the major aws key topics along with rds. Soi refreshed my aws skills. It would be helpful if you can add some examples like migrate existing small DB from on-premises to aws-cloud and Daily life and a typical day scenario as AWS DBA point of view, etc.. anyhow really thanks for your presentation. :-) good news for you I am going to buy another course of yours. Its a wonderful course for Oracle on AWS.You will quickly get your hands dirty on how to install 18cXE (RPM style) on an EC2 instance.The instructor then goes deep dive into Oracle on RDS (Setup,Backup,Recovery,Monitoring,Commands differences etc).A very nice example of PHP setup on EC2 connecting to RDS in a Virtual Private Cloud is shown.That gives a 360 view of simple 2 tier architecture seperated over diff subnets(Public and Private) inside of a VPC.The world of cloud is indeed amazing.Enjoyed the course thoroughly.Keep them coming Kshitij Joy.
