Course Description

The OWASP Top 10 is the go-to document on application security awareness. This cours features the OWASP Top 10 2021 version explained with examples. Boost your DevSecOps and improve your threat hunting capabilities based on the findings from the OWASP community.

However, use the OWASP Top 10 wisely. Although packed with useful information, the OWASP Top 10 is not a substitute for application security testing techniques or managed detection and response services. Instead, use the OWASP Top 10 in conjunction with professional cyber security protocols to get the best out of your application security.

Within a few hours, you will be able to explain web application security without having to code. For your convenience:

I will teach you the 10 most common risks and vulnerabilities identified by the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP). This course will give your coding and testing a huge security head start!

Overview
1) Understand the OWASP top 10,
2) Learn how each risk is attacked by hackers and pentesters,
3) Explain how these security threats can be mitigated

Very Informative and knowledgeable I have learned a lot from this session, and I have gained the knowledge about OWASP Top 10 definitely will implement the good practices and mitigations in my applications

By Carlos Fernandez on 2/29/2024

Good so far. Speaker is easy to follow. Halfway through the course I think the speaker is doing a good job of explaining the first 5 OWASP items and giving vulnerability examples and ways to mitigate those vulnerabilities.

One suggestion I have is that nothing be exclusively shown as text. The more modalities you use to communicate an idea, the strong impact it tends to make in your audience. And while the video should be your main focus for optimal learning, it could be nice to listen to this course a second time casually to refresh some of the dense content. But that's not as effective if some key concepts are just screen text blocks instead of verbalized.

I am not directly involved in the security team, but I happen to work on firewall, so this course is for great interest.

I'm just not impressed with the quality of the information being disseminated. People that already know the subject matter will be able to bridge the gaps but I'm not sure this will be much help to people unfamiliar with the subject.

Crisp and clear audio can play at x1.75 Good graphics that I can absorb at x1.75 Great content that an Ops or Infra engineer can relate to and see the relevance in. Current ! Keep up the good work.

I like the way you introduce all subjects you covered to this far. Your approach makes me to be more curious and stay interested.

By V Pyne on 5/31/2023

The quality of the videos toward the end were pretty rough- the teacher repeated lines and there were some empty spaces. I would have loved more code examples instead of "this big company had a data breach" examples.

By Anonymized User on 4/28/2023

The teacher is great, he gives each lesson with so many facts and humor that I don't feel I am in class. I feel that it is a great training session, and the quality of the contents is superb.

By Edgars Voroboks on 3/21/2023

Very valuable course. The instructor is knowledgeable and charismatic. I would prefer this course without looping background music and mock up videos with different people in different situations.
