Powershell Essential Training on Automation and Scripting (Udemy.com)

Thanks for PowerShell tutorial. Videos are good but somewhere commands are directly run without explanations, that needs to be change which is some last 2-3 sections. Other sound quality of some videos is not even clearly listened. other than all good.

The examples are great ideas of how to manage automation for my servers. I use PS7 so I had to make a few minor adjustments like Get-CimInstance instead of Get-WmiObject, since Get-WmiObject is deprecated in newer PowerShell versions.

I went through this course for the automation and DSC sections specifically. This is an excellent course to start learning PowerShell on, and I think the automation and DSC sections were very informative and point to additional learning and research that I can use in my current role. The only reason I didn't give this 5 full stars were the early sections that had the ear blasting jingle and loud clicking when going through the demos. I don't think there's a good way to get rid of the clicking, but I think the audio could be balanced to lower the volume on the intro jingle on those early sections to make it more reasonable.

The automation section only focused on sending an email. But that is also not properly clear. They did not reply to the questions. I followed step by step instructions but it was not working at all. Seems they did not cleared the concepts clearly. Rest of the course was really good.

While course is somewhat detailed on the beginning with somewhat good examples it does leave details here and there regarding mostly why you're doing what you're doing, many things seem to be there to be copy-pasted, and there is no good explanation by some of the code used. You can totally monkey it by just copying, but in terms of actual explanation, and the know why this course leaves much to be desired. After half way through the course, you're supposed to use SQL database you didn't set up, and send emails through google servers, without explanation how account should be setup to allow this much, you will of course figure this out yourself, but that's just another thing you have to lookup yourself (google account needs to have no 2 step verification, you need to allow less secure apps to use your google account, or use another mail provider if that fails). The script that is granted to you at the end have large chunk of things not really discussed in the course. I either knew things from my prior experience with using PS or had Chat-GPT explain things to me in such cases. Don't get me wrong, I still think this course is valuable even if not every topic and concept is explored fully or a all sometimes it still has lots of things you can get out of it.

Yes absolutely this is a perfect match for me to learn and implement in my test lab and in further in production also. very well explained about powershell concepts and scripts to automate TQ Vishnu for explaining in a structural manner about powershell fundamentals, Arrays, variables, strings, comparisonal operators, conditional operators required to write a script and executed to get the expected output. Now I am able to write powershell script my own and automating through windows task scheduler, SQL server Agent and also in Jenkins this is a added skill to me. At the end of this course you have attached ready to execute scripts related to disk drive space for local computer and remote computers. I ran the scripts in my testlab very well functioning and planning to implement in Real time also. Finally a very big Thank You towards your way of explaining the powershell in a easy to understand and write the script their own in a very short time for the guys having zero knowledge in powershell scripting to automate.

Perhaps "THE BEST" course on powershell in udemy . The "SIMPLICITY" with which Vishnu has explained complex topics is commendable and this is what sets this course apart from other ps courses in Udemy, even a lay man with no previous knowledge on PS can learn it if he follows this course. Hats off to Vishnu for coming up with such an amazing and top quality course.

Impressive course, I gave it a 5 cause I honestly feel the instructor really goes beyond Powershell, great investment although a part of me feels it was short , I suppose that's how fun feels like. Many thanks

A well-thought-out and structured course. Was looking for an introductory course in Powershell. Coming from a Linux scripting background, Windows PowerShell was a hard piece to crack. Definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants to use PowerShell for automation, especially in an enterprise environment.

Dear , I have really had "zero" knowledge in PowerShell before attending this course and now at least now I am confident that I acquired little knowledge on this subject.
