Course Description

Are you a developer interested in building machine learning and deep learning models? Do you want to be proficient in the rapidly growing field of artificial intelligence? One of the fastest and easiest ways to learn these skills is by working through practical hands-on examples.

LinkedIn released it's annual "Emerging Jobs" list, which ranks the fastest growing job categories. The top role is Artificial Intelligence Specialist, which is any role related to machine learning. Hiring for this role has grown 74% in the past few years!

In this course, you will work through several practical, machine learning examples, such as image recognition, sentiment analysis, fraud detection, and more. In the process, you will learn how to use modern frameworks, such as Tensorflow 2/Keras, NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib. You will also learn how use powerful and free development environments in the cloud, like Google Colab.

Each example is independent and follows a consistent structure, so you can work through examples in any order.  In each example, you will learn:

  1. The nature of the problem

  2. How to analyze and visualize data

  3. How to choose a suitable model

  4. How to prepare data for training and testing

  5. How to build, test, and improve a machine learning model

  6. Answers to common questions

  7. What to do next

Of course, there are some required foundations you will need for each example. Foundation sections are presented as needed. You can learn what interests you, in the order you want to learn it, on your own schedule.

Why choose me as your instructor?

  1. Practical experience. I actively develop real world machine learning systems. I bring that experience to each course.

  2. Teaching experience. I've been writing and teaching for over 20 years.

  3. Commitment to quality. I am constantly updating my courses with improvements and new material.

  4. Ongoing support. Ask me anything! I'm here to help. I answer every question or concern promptly.

clear explanations..to the point and no jargon..neat presentation of notebooks with codes..it's a step by step guide on creating machine learning models using Google colab..the models explained here are basic and thus perfect for beginners ,to understand how machine learning models are created based on the given problem and about techniques used to improve the accuracy..with the resources shared and Mr.Madhu's immediate response to messages/QA,one can learn more about a topic..highly recommended to all machine learning enthusiasts.  - Ashraf UI

The cours is easy to understand and well presented, same thing for the practical examples Using google colab was a very good idea to present the course and to do the exercices , we can easily test a function or a line of code. The last three sections are very intresting, they are practical exercices for deep learning well presented and commented - Iheb GANDOUZ

The way it is explained is really cool. I used to be bored after an hour during lectures, but the guide somehow makes it very interesting.... - Anu Priya J

The math behind the models is not explored enough and I had to use contempt from additional sources to have a better understanding of the formulas.

I still have about 60% to go, but I so far, the material, presentation, exercises, resources, and notebooks have all been excellent. Madhu's voice is buttery smooth and I've not noticed any tics (those little "ums", "so", "you know", "at the end of the day") that can be so distracting. This course has been an exemplar learning experience thus far.

I took several course regarding machine learning and i can easly say that this was the best course among them. There is very good balance between theory and implementation. And also lots of further information provided in the resources. Documents he provided are well designed. Instructor has very good and clear sound. Further development maybe adding some assigments for us in the section 8 and 9 which i found most challenging. Huge thanks!

Overall a great course, and I recommend it. I was hoping for deeper mathematical explanations of the methods, but this course focuses more on gaining practical experience with applications. The instructor also responded quickly to my questions, which I really appreciated.

Very well done; the course provides a clear overview of machine learning libraries, tools, and best practices. Also, by leveraging Google Colab and Jupyter Notebooks, the course reduces concerns about setup to basically nothing. An excellent introduction to the subject.

Thank you so much for the effective learning experience. This course incorporates many practicals examples in machine learning that uses different approaches, optimizer, activation etc .This will definitely help in broader view of the topic.

good explaining for beginner like me, not fast, but not to slow, the audio speecs is very clear an best pronunciation, the minus is just using google colab, not installed offline python, ex using win py, or IDLE, etc with windows platform, so it cannot perform demo for gpu based ML algorithm

Like other courses its not crowded with too many examples or exercises but with optimum examples and the pace of the course covered is really helps the student like. more over the structure of the course is very good, the way the numpy and pandas and other foundations are incorporated at the right intervals. And also google colab makes its easier by bypassing the hassles of installation. The assignments are lot easier.

By Josh Valdeleon on 4/21/2020

It's great that the course have foundational knowledge portions for both programming and theoretical concepts that are applicable for machine learning and data science. There are plenty of exercises as well. I'd love it more if concepts and programming foundations are arranged in a more effective manner. Maybe we can focus on the programming skills first since this is going to be easy, then, we go to the theoretical concepts. Afterwards, applications and exercises. Just my thought but module's really great.
