Course Description
Learn essential practical skills to become a SOC Analyst (L1/L2) and prepare yourself for working in a real Security Operations Center environment. This course focuses on practical knowledge that analysts use during daily investigations, alert triage, and incident response. It is designed for people who want to start a career in cybersecurity as well as for junior analysts who want to strengthen their investigation skills and better understand how SOC teams operate in practice.
The training combines theory with hands-on experience. Each section starts with a clear explanation of the topic and then moves to practical labs that simulate real scenarios faced by SOC analysts. You will learn how to analyze security events, investigate suspicious activity, and understand how attackers operate within systems and networks. In addition, every module includes guidance on how to continue practicing after the course using free tools, datasets, and publicly available training resources. This approach helps you build real-world skills instead of only learning concepts.

Hubert Macikowski
Hey!
My name is Hubert and I come from Poland. I am huge cyber security enthusiast. I have over 5 years of expierience as SOC (Security Operation Centre) Analyst, where I had a chance to perform all kind of analysis. Form the easiest ones, to very though, near unreasovable. In my daily work, I also train younger colleagues to become better in investigating alerts. When I do so, I focus on understanging the topic, asking questions and showing tricks how to quickly get reasonable answers.
About me, besides cyber security, I am nerdy guy, who like to play board game or some RPG
I hope you will find my content interesting!

It was a great resource for reviewing all the necessary information before my SOC Analyst interview, which went really well. It covers all the essential materials you need for the role and provides clear and solid explanations.

Well-designed and superbly delivered! The structure of the course helped me clarify each aspect of cybersecurity and see its importance. Hubert first explains crucial theories and concepts and then immediately puts them into action during lab exercises. It makes it way easier to follow and to practise on one's own. Totally recommend!

Very informative and practical, with no unnecessary filler. The course not only teaches important concepts but also demonstrates them effectively and provides guidance on how to gain further experience, which I believe is very beneficial for learners and makes the course even more valuable. The only thing I can nitpick is the occasional typo, but they do not affect the content quality.

Solid course overall. The Practical SOC T1/T2 Preparation Course focuses more on actually doing the work than just explaining concepts, which I appreciated. Some parts felt a bit fast-paced, but the hands-on exercises helped tie everything together. It gave me a better sense of what to expect in a real SOC role and where I still need to improve. Worth it if you’re serious about getting into the field.

Thanks for such an awesome course! It mixes hands-on exercises with real-life malware and phishing scenarios across Windows and Linux, so you actually get a feel for what the job looks like (not just theory overload). Definitely a great starting point if you’re thinking about getting into cybersecurity :)
