Nineteen years as a senior finance executive in the GCC. Chartered Accountant. FMVA. Big 4 audit foundation, followed by 13 years as Finance Director of a global security solutions company — running a multi-country operation across three countries with 1,850 staff, four service lines, and a full IFRS reporting stack.

The numbers from that stretch: revenue up 150% over 13 years. DSO down from 150 to 55 days. Cash flow conversion at 120%. Budget accuracy from 60% to 90%. Report production cut by 70%. Month-end close accelerated by two working days. None of that came from better intentions — it came from building the right tools and automating the right processes.

That is what I teach here.

Every course I've built — financial modelling, depreciation accounting, advanced Excel, automation with Power Query and VBA — came directly out of a problem I had to solve in a live finance function. Not a textbook scenario. Not a clean dataset. The messy, mid-month, pressure-cooker version of the problem that your manager needs resolved before the board pack goes out.

I now apply agentic AI to finance workflows in active consulting engagements — using tools like Claude Code to compress multi-day analysis and reporting cycles to hours, without losing the audit rigour that professional financial reporting demands. I teach the same AI-for-finance thinking in my courses: not hype, not theory, but specific workflows that replace manual hours with reliable automation.
