Privileged accounts are those with special permissions on a system, application, database or any other asset that can be used to perform any administration activity (E.g. changing the configuration), or have full access to the data. Failing to manage and monitor the usage of the privilege accounts in a corporate environment or an organization could have serious consequences.

Once hackers or malicious actors find a way to get into a system or a network, they will be looking to compromise a privilege account to get access to those systems and information that they are not authorized. Privilege Account Management is an important topic in Cyber Security and a requirements for a lot of regulatory and compliance frameworks.

Good course overall, with an in-depth view of PAM solutions. I think Section 4 could be excluded moving forwarded, with Section 6 and 7 taking its place since it showcases a newer version of Secret Server.

a lot of practical demos, for me it was too much sometimes, but skipping just the first few minutes makes it. I guess for less experienced people it totally makes sense and will bring it into the topic quite good.

Me ha gustado mucho, es un nivel intermedio/avanzado. Lo explica muy bien, con laboratorios que puedes seguir y realizarlo tu mismo a la vez que sigues el curso. Solo un para de cosas a corregir, cuando instala en las máquinas virtuales unidad 17 minuto 3:15 comienza la instalación de Active Directory DS y el servidor DNS y hace una pausa y cuando vuelve en el 3:20 la instalación ya finalizó correctamente. Aquí debería indicar que TUVO PROBLEMAS en la instalación porque el tamaño de las máquinas virtuales no era el requerido. Y no esperar hasta la unidad 19 para indicar que reajustó el tamaño de las máquinas virtuales. Y que algunas grabaciones no se ven nítidas, por ejemplo unidad 44 y 89. Un saludo.

Amazing course for someone looking for hands-on experience in using Thycotic Secret Server. The instructor is pretty knowledgeable and the teaching style is fairly good. Learnt a lot from this course and will recommend to anyone looking to learn PAM basics.

The PAM and PASM elements were clearly defined and pointed out in a step-by-step presentation, using legitimate applications and sources. Author was knowledgeable and able to outline use cases, even with the lesser known/used controls. A great course, would recommend for those new to privileged account and session management.
