I’m very interested in learning to speak publicly, the correct way. I used to be cabin crew for 20 years and spoke at the front of the cabin to hundreds of people a day with confidence, but I would like to get into speaking to bigger audiences. Tutor of this course is excellent. He gets straight to the point, doesn’t waffle around and gives good organisational tips to feel confident when speaking. I say “um” a lot when speaking in general, so they lesson stands out in my mind. I’m really enjoying the course.

There are so many things I might have identified as important to public speaking, but giving tips on how to really push oneself to do it is something that stood out for me. On the point of not using any medical influence, I quite agree! Great courses overall for a beginner but will love to see examples taken and analyzing what the speakers are doing and how it aligns with the tips or content of the course.

I just start the course, I can't post a 5 stars rating because it's just the beginning of the course and I have a lot to learn. All I know for now is : - act like I'm in control, by using cheat sheets - ask myself what I want from the audience and what I want them to do for me - Stick to five big ideas for the presentation Otherwise, I'll wait the rest of the course to forge a real opinion

In these sections, I came to know lot of psychological strategy and hand tricks. Recapitulation of whole presentation based script into top 5 points, be relaxed and interaction in front of audience, not to have temptations of covering all points like a machine instead of being friendly towards people, a seek of having feedback and make sure that people are remembering script are the top things I will surely mention.

By Anand Singh on 7/29/2023

i remembered to use a cheat sheet , write bold 2-3 words for a particular idea , not to write full sentences, practice on phone recorder and examine yourself how you spoke, and when practicing in front of someone don't just ask what they think about my presentation other than that ask what do they remember from it.

Thank you for the well-informed video regarding Public Speaking. Such as focusing on our energy to inform the audience through the presentation, and narrowing down the full speech to main five points. Moreover, that would be helpful if you could add short video examples for each main section. thank you!

The course is really good. I learned things that i didn’t know before but i feel this should have more example related on how to practice what TJ’s preaching. But overall its really helpful.

I enjoyed taking this course, TJ taught in depth and it proves he is a dab hand in public speaking. I have been opportune to speak in little organisations, this course has been an eye opener to some things I did and didn't know they were valid as a good public speaker. He make each topic enjoyable with concise explanation and funny facial expressions to drive the message home. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to start the journey of a public speaker.

So far, 1. Use a a cheat sheet for the period of conversation. 2. Habitual engineering with writing/printing out your um, ah, er and circling in red with a line to reduce their usage. 3. Practice with a cellphone. The basics starts with understanding what you want from your audience. Moving to what would motivate them to do what you want. Begin with a bullet point of ideas/concepts/statics Prioritize the top 5 and leave the rest in a separate document. Ask yourself what your audience needs to know or want to know. Finally, ask what they remember.

By Abdalla Omar on 8/23/2020

What i got so far "Be confident, Clear voice when i present and talk to people, Eye contact and hand move, Practice my presentation on video before i present it till i like it, Brain storm all the ideas that i'm going to talk about and reduce them to most important 5 ideas, ask my self about possible questions that i may ask the audience about it so i can keep them engaged and finally get there feed back by asking them what do you get out of my presentation so i make sure that i did not fail when they can remember and understand".
