Course Description

Welcome to the Project-Based Django Web Development Course where you will learn to develop a fully-featured Multi-vendor Restaurant Marketplace website with location-based search, nearby restaurants, and many more complex functionalities.

I designed this course, for anyone seeking to learn and build a Django-based custom web application. By the end of this course, you will be able to analyze, design, and develop your own Multi-vendor Restaurant Marketplace website and deploy it on the live server with the custom domain name.

Master the Basic Fundamentals of Django before you dive into the custom functionalities:

This course is also for absolute beginners, you don't need to have any prior knowledge of Django. I've included the Django refresher section in this course where you can start from absolute basics. You will be learning the fundamentals of Django by building an Employee Directory website and a TODO app, where you learn about CRUD operations.

If you already have a basic knowledge of Django, you can safely skip this Django refresher section and start building the Multi-Vendor Marketplace Project.

However, as a prerequisite, the basic knowledge of Python and a little bit of html/css and javascript are required to get started with this course.

You don't need to be a master in these technologies, you just need to be able to understand what we are doing on the front end, that's all.

I've spent over 10 years as a software developer, primarily working with Python and Django, the framework I genuinely enjoy working with the most.

I've created a series of Python and Django courses on Udemy, covering everything from beginner fundamentals to advanced topics like REST APIs, machine learning integration, multi-vendor ecommerce systems, and production deployment with Docker and CI/CD.

Across these courses, I've taught thousands of students, with a focus on building complete, real-world projects rather than isolated examples. My students don't just learn syntax; they walk away having built something they can actually showcase.

Right now, my focus is on Agentic AI, specifically, how backend developers can build multi-agent AI systems using the frameworks they already know, like Django. This isn't a new direction for me, it's the next step. I believe it's one of the most important shifts in software development, and I want Django developers to be at the forefront of it, not left behind.

If you're looking to build real, production-style skills, whether in Django, machine learning, or AI-powered backend systems, you're in the right place.

Seems to know what he's talking about, but the open close function does not work , when the shop is open after midnight as it takes the morning of the same day and show closed in the drop down. I found a few things could have been explained more, but google was always there to help and I suppose thats also part of being as developer, but feel their was a lot missing to build confidence in what you had learnt.

The teacher is very skilled, he exlains everything in deep details. The course cover wide topics over django full stack development and for sure you can learn a lot. Sometimes the pace is quite slow and the lessons are too verbose, but i will recomend it.

Best tutor I have even seen. I am in 26th section and learnt a lot from rathan sir. The program is crystal clear and explain each and every code. If you have some knowledge of django and want to do a project or learn more then this course is absolutely for you. The assistant is also supporting and respond quickly to solve your problems.

Hello Rathan Kumar, It was a very helpful tutorial. I've learned a lot, I can also recommend everyone. Each section builds on the other, so I would recommend everyone to take part and pursue their own project. Mistakes are also made there, and they will also learn how to make these mistakes. If you learned this project correctly. You will also be able to do your projects yourself. I hope the teacher continues to develop this project. e.g. VAT should be in the Food Item, not anything else, because each food item may have different vat Best regards. Celebi

I made sure I went very far (82%) with the course so I can leave the right review. This instructor put in tremendous efforts in this course. If you follow this course and understand it properly then you can build almost any type of business, inventory, ecommerce, management and other types of applications. He took his time to explain each section and he definitely made a lot of research and highly knowledgeable. This course covers from beginner level to intermediate and advanced level concepts. I ended up learning Javascript, some bootstrap and ajax programing as well which is essential for web development. A lot of course out there combine too many technologies and you end up not mastering any but this course is tailored and delivers.Te few sections I had issues i eaither denugged myself from the experience gained or I asked questions on the QandA section and I got answers. I bought 4 of his courses after this which shows how good the lecturer is. Thank you Rathan for putting in tremendous effort and time in this.

It is a good very course with substance. He gives a lot of detail. For new users, my Google trial period was only 30 days. My trial expired before I could finish course, because I had other fires to put out at office. Suggestion - add a graphic overview of how some parts work before starting that section. Good luck

This course is just awesome, the way he explained everything in detail is the best thing about. even if you don't know anything about Django still i would still recommend this course to you. when you stuck somewhere while following the course and if you are not able to find the solution then you can simply ask your query in Q&A section and you will definitely get the answer from the team of this course in few hours. Thank you for teach me Django in depth Rathan Sir.

Rathan is a top-tier teacher. I upgraded my knowledge of Django and following his steps I was able to deploy my first app on a live server. What I liked about his method is that he lets himself fall into common errors and day-to-day issues and solves them during the video. He guides you through the problem-solving path and that helps a lot. I would catalog the content of this course as High level - advanced Python/Django knowledge (but made easy and understandable for students). As a suggestion Ily like to understand more about the deployment process, I followed the last episode blindly through the desert and we made it to the oasis, but I had to follow every step sometimes without understanding what I was doing exactly. Regardless, it was an extremely positive and encouraging experience. I am looking forward to learning more from this great coding master.

This is the best django course you can get here on Udemy for intermediate to advanced users. Professor Rathan is great and always available. The course has a lot of tips and techniques that developers need to know and the course leaves a lot of room for you to improve the final product.

It was an amazing tutorial and the way he simplified all the concepts is really interesting. He taught everything from practical point of views. Not only that he taught the Django aspect, he also did well in terms of the front side aspect by working you through. Even though the course is not meant for begineers as he stated, but I can tell you that as a begineer with a little python knowledge, you can take this course because the concepts were really simplified. For anyone that will be taken this course, kindly read the advice below. Do not watch the videos just like other tutorials. You need to take down notes, write down some useful hints as the course progress. This will enable you to make good use of this course. This is because there are lots of jump from one point to the other and if you are not taken note, you might be frustrated along the way. The best thing is to write down things, take screenshots where necessary and document your learning probably in Microsoft Onenote. If you do this, you will really enjoy this course. But if you want to take this course just to finish it in 3 days, that might be a wrong approach. Though the course in total is 37 hours, you might spend 3 weeks or one month taking this course and if that is the case, do not worry. Stick to the learning and you will enjoy the course, trust me. Once again, I recommend this course to everyone whether beginner, intermediate or advanced Django developer. Nonetheless, it would have been better if he included application testing in this course.
