Course Description

Welcome! I'm here to help you to master the basics of Django web development.

-- Please read carefully --

This course is primarily intended for beginners who have no experience with Django.

Welcome to the Python Django: Ultimate Beginners Course 2026, your comprehensive guide to mastering web development using Python and Django!

Are you looking to embark on an exciting journey into the world of web development? Do you want to build dynamic and interactive websites with ease? If so, you've come to the right place. In this cutting-edge course, we'll take you from a complete beginner to a confident Django developer in no time.

Python and Django are among the most powerful tools in the web development industry, offering a robust framework and a vast array of libraries and resources.

Throughout this course, you'll learn the core principles of Django, including creating models, views, and templates, managing databases, handling user authentication, and deploying your applications to the web.

Topics to be covered:

  1. Django basics: Explore the core components of the Django framework, including models, views, and templates. Discover how to build a solid structure for your web applications, separating concerns and implementing the powerful Model-View-Controller (MVC) pattern.

  2. Database management: Learn to interact with databases using Django's built-in Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) layer. Dive into database migrations, querying data, and establishing relationships between models to create efficient and scalable applications.

  3. CRUD operations: Learn the basic CRUD operations (Create, Read, Update, Delete) and how to apply these functions to models and objects.

  4. Static files: In order to improve the quality of our web application in terms of styling and interactivity, we will learn how to integrate our CSS and JavaScript files.

  5. User registration and authentication: Implement secure user authentication and authorization systems in your Django applications. Understand how to register users, handle login/logout functionality, and protect sensitive user data.

  6. Handling forms: Gain expertise in building forms in Django, allowing users to input data seamlessly.

  7. Cloud storage and database management with AWS: We will also learn how to store our static files using Amazon S3 and how to utilize a database from Amazon RDS.

  8. Deployment and hosting: Deploy our Django web application to a production environment (Render).

I want to help YOU master the basics of Django.

The Python Django: Ultimate Beginners course has been structured in a simple and logical order. Everything that has been designed from the styling to the graphics and topics covered is crafted with the absolute duty of care towards the student.

When I started the course, I felt it was very tough. At first, I thought it was because of the course itself, but then I slowly started realizing that it’s just how Django is — a bit challenging at the beginning. After completing the task manager project, I became a bit more confident. Then I built a simple project on my own, and that’s when I became 100% confident. Now, as I’m working on the final project of this course, I can understand everything. This is such a wonderful course — truly worth the money! Love you, instructor. Love from Kerala, India ❤️

I am very satisfied with the course. I did it in ten days. It's great for Django beginners. 2 years ago I took a Django course from another instructor, but it was too complicated and there was too much focus on css and javascript and it killed my will to continue learning Django. I know that a good web application requires css and javascript, but for a beginner it was too much for me. In this course there is a perfectly balanced amount of work with css, js and Django for beginners. After this course, I got the desire to start working on my project that I had imagined. I have also purchased several other Arno Django courses and can't wait to get started with them. I currently work as a DevOps engineer and occasionally write Python scripts. I'm getting a little fed up with that and it's getting monotonous and boring. I hope that in a few months or a year I will be able to earn some money working on Django projects :)

Dear Arno This really was a fantastic introduction into Python Django I liked the idea of a more like formal introduction and building a project together afterwards which at the same time serves as a more than useful repetition. Most of the lectures were straight forward (and these which were a bit lengthy were marked as optional ) and it was very comfortable to code along with you. I once had a question which you answered promptly and to my complete satisfaction. This won't be my last course I will take with you and I can highly recommend to others. Thank you so much and all the best!

It was clear, understandable, and nicely covered each step. Lecturer has a good understanding of the subject, explanations were good. I left wondering, what is the difference between the AWS and Render. Do they do the same thing, or are they complementing each other. I guess Render doesn't do database things? When starting Render, a some sort of diagram which would explain the relationship between the two would've been great. Other than that, I enjoyed the course. All these AWS/Render things were new to me, but I was still able to get my the website running with these instructions.

This is the best django course for beginners. Why? Because Arno is the best teacher. Explains everything in an understandable and concise way. It shows everything at the perfect pace. From the course you will learn many important things, from how django works, using bootstrap, using aws, to final deployment. First of all, Arno doesn't waste your time. Purchasing this course will be one of the best decisions you will make while learning django. I would also like to thank Arno for the work he put into preparing this course. Good job Arno! :)

Pretty new to both Python and Django. This course connected with me and was taught in a clear fashion that was very beneficial. I did think the AWS section was a bit out of pocket as we should have spent more time on Render as that was the host and done Postgres there. I also didn't find the password changing section that helpful as I wouldn't use a GMAIL app to send mail and would hope there's a better way. Still the class was great and taught me how to get a lot done with this and is clearly a strong way for me to advance and build my own projects. I would say the only thing it really was lacking was tests. That wasn't covered at all, so I'll find a course that has that, but top notch, easy to follow and has lots of good tips and pointers.

This course was very helpful. Arno clearly knows a lot about Django and is pretty good at explaining things. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who already has some decent knowledge of Python. (Just one minor note: in lectures 5 and 135, at minute 2:31, there seems to be an editing mistake. The demonstration showing how the website works gets repeated.) (Update: Just to clarify, I wasn't talking about the fact that the final demonstration appears in both lectures 5 and 135. What I meant is that in lectures 5/135, at 0:00 you say "Hi everyone! And welcome to the final project demonstration," then you create a user account for "greg" etc., then at 2:31 you do it all again: you say "Hi everyone! And welcome to the final project demonstration," followed by the creation of a user account for "greg" etc.)

Looks very smooth, the instructor is very easy to understand and he explains what and why which is why his methods of teaching work so well. I was happy to see that during my previous buying, i had purchased two other of your courses and I moved them up in my read and review list plan, to be reworked after I complete this one. Going through the Udemy course list, I found 6 more of Arno Pretorius's courses that fit my study plans and of course purchased them as well.

By Quinn Berichon on 7/7/2023

Fairly easy to follow, and definitely more aimed towards complete beginners. Concepts were well explained, though I wish the instructor would take the extra minute or two sometimes to attempt and explain in more depth what a specific function or code bit is doing. I found myself googling lots of stuff on the side to enhance my learning experience. Really nice to have a deployable, working product you can take away at the end of the course.

By Daniel A Morales-Tebar on 8/28/2022

It starts a bit disorganized, has a couple of gaps, but it gets better! Besides the volume differences between videos, I would suggest the instructor find a way not to begin so many sentences with 'So,'. And to go slower. I'm liking it, though.
