Qlik Sense for Data Science and BI (Udemy.com)

Die Beschreibungen und Aktualisierungen wegen Änderungen an der Produktpalette seitens Qlik sind gut, allerdings ist die lokale Installation nur durch Registrierung mit einem Firmenaccount möglich (eine Hürde seitens des Software-Herstellers, nicht des Kursleiters!). Mal sehen, ob ich dem Kurs weiter folgen kann.

I am at beginner level and the course gave me a good high level view of qliksense environment, introduced the standard 'tricks' in an easy to grasp manner. I am ready to practice these tricks on other data sets before I go for the advanced course.

I took this course as someone with a few years of QlikView experience who needed to start working in Qlik Sense for a real migration project at work. Overall, it was a good match for getting me up and running at a foundational level. I followed along by building the examples in my own Qlik Sense environment, and that “build as you watch” approach is where the course works best, it made the platform feel much less abstract. The explanations are clear, and the pace is manageable. One thing to be aware of is that the course is a bit dated. Qlik Sense has moved on since around the time the course seems to be anchored, so some of the interface elements look different and a few things that are shown as custom objects are now native objects. I could still follow everything, but I often had to mentally map “old UI” to “where that feature lives now” in the current version. For my use case, the course focuses mainly on the basics: creating apps, loading data, building visualizations, and understanding the interface. That’s exactly what I needed to stop feeling lost in Qlik Sense, but it doesn’t go very deep into enterprise topics like governance, streams, or publishing, which I’ve had to explore separately. In short, it’s a solid, practical introduction if you’re willing to pause, build along, and translate a few dated UI bits to the current version. It won’t make you an instant expert, but it’s a strong starting point.

He is a great way of teaching, I have to start with that. The only disappointment, this was a "visualization" course but we only touched the surface as far as I am concerned. We did not create cool-looking, visually appealing charts. Just added some of them which I think can be explored by any average computer user with a trial and error method. Maybe my expectations were a bit high. I will get more datasets and get my hands dirty more, which is always the best way to develop in my personal experience. I will still move forward with the "advanced" course because there is always something to learn, especially from an instructor like him!

This course was really helpful in understanding the basics of visualization and the working of QlikSense to begin with as a fresher. Each module is explained well and with a pace that you can follow along with simultaneously executing the steps. Overall a great course. Thank you!

Very good content, detailed, with practicing examples, tips and good practice advises. My only reserve is about the 6h duration planned at the beginning, it seems optimistic duration to take the course for a naive user :), needed to redo some of the exercises to pass to next steps, Thanks

The course was super interesting and gave me a good understanding of the main functionalities of qlik sense. It's easy to follow and I could finish the course within 2 weeks. One thing I would improve is to provide small projects at the end of each section or one big project at the end of the course (for a each the solutions should be provided as well) so that students can solidify their skills.

One of the best online course I have ever taken in Qlik Sense & other data visualization tools. Jean-Pierre has explained very nicely all the steps required to do data cleaning & transformation and creating beautiful dashboards. Now, I am going for his advanced level course in Qlik Sense. Thank you very much Jean for creating a wonderful course.

A nice introduction with great explanation of concepts. I really enjoyed the fact that its a practical course.

Ausgezeichnete Erluterung der Visualisierungsmglichkeiten anhand anschaulicher Beispiele. Nicht zu komplex, aber auch nicht zu simpel.

Pros:
+ Charismatic teacher with a good knowledge about the subject.
+ A quickly basic course. Nice for people in hurry to learn Qlik Sense.
+ Nice overview about all the tools of the aplication.
+ Qlik Sense is a amazing tool. I've never user other BI aplication like Power BI but I was impressed with it.
Cons:
- Teacher explain too quickly sometimes, in other words, his pace is too fast for me sometimes.
- As the course is quickly some contents were covered in shallow way.
