React & AWS Amplify build a complete serverless app w/ CI/CD (Udemy.com)

Instructor is coding/teaching with an example app. To understand this course better, you need to be familiar with java script, and react basics as a prerequisite. Only then it becomes easy to connect the dots. Overall course is good, could have been better recording.

Getting ideas from practical examples

I've gone through this course twice. It does cover the basics without giving too much information (I do like brevity in some situations). Icaro is a real person, he makes mistakes (spelling, bugs etc) but goes back and fixes them. I like that, it shows it's real and not some heavily edited course. However there are problems, the course is not complete, and the last few videos (I blame Covid) are a bit messed up (a 12 min video is actually 2 videos joined together). Could be better and I'll visit again once the course is complete. Needs a polish though and for the videos to all be reviewed.

Icaro is a good teacher but course is hard to follow at times. Code gets refactored all of the sudden and I needed to waste time going back and forth his github to check what's it meant to be. Links and resources should also be easier to find. Also, there's no commits related to lectures so if you get lost... good luck. I really wish I could leave a better rating. The course has a potential and I do enjoy his teaching style. That said , currently it just seems to be a beta version ( I hope ).

hi Icaro, you've actual gone above and beyond what you agreed to cover in the overview? I'd consider removing the very last section where you add the auth until the entire auth section is complete as it gives the impression that it's incomplete which is incorrect. With that said, I can honestly say I thought this course was excellent! I really enjoyed the bite sized 3/4/5 minute lessons which were invaluable when I was trying to sneak in a few during lunch or on a break. Your familiarity with the Amplify dashboard, Visual Studio code (snippets) are invaluable. Also your ability to encounter and fix issues on the fly really made me as a student feel confident that I was learning from a real pro. Congratulations on a great course and thanks for taking the time to put it together. I will recommend it to any colleagues looking for an intro to Amplify. Thanks, Mark.

The course is about building a whole App with AWS Amplify and React, and does just that. Learning by doing. You should be able to install the different parts yourself, and at least have an account on AWS and Github, basic knowledge of React and Graphql is an advantage. This course uses functions and hooks and the backend from AWS is up to date and easy to follow. The instructor is very helpful and answers all the questions in a short time. There are some minor flaws and some lessons to be added as the course is brandnew.

I highly recommend this course to any wanting to ramp up the skill set. GraphQL is a very smart approach to pooling data from many different datasources. AWS Amplify and AppSync help make the job of creating GraphQL compliant client side applications much easier. Icaro does a excellent job of guiding you step by step through the process.

Excellent course, Icaro explains everything step by step without waist time. The course is precise to the point and he makes sure that even the less knowledgeable students can follow the course in a way that does not bode the more knowledgeable ones. 10 Starts!
