Our take
Based on the ratings of 715 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in August 2022. No course pays to be reviewed.
This is a recorded walkthrough of SAP FI and CO configuration. It has 41 lectures and about 31 hours, so most sessions run close to 45 minutes. The syllabus starts with enterprise structure and basic settings, then moves through general ledger, payables, receivables, asset accounting, and integration with MM, SD and HR. Controlling and product cost come last. It was last updated in August 2022, so the screens are older. The audience list is wide, but the content fits accountants and finance staff heading toward a functional consultant role.
Reviewers who liked it say the explanations are slow and clear. One said Uplatz's trainer, Venkat Sir, explained the process well at a good pace, and a working SAP user called it detailed and useful for becoming a functional consultant. The complaints are mostly about production. Several mention traffic noise, low volume, background voices saying okay, and long pauses. Two one-star reviews say the SAP screen was not visible and only the notes showed. One three-star reviewer says the trainer reads from a manual without explaining why a field gets ticked, which hurts beginners. Controlling gets only four lectures, and one student asked for the Controlling part to be taught.
The rating is 3.9 from 715 reviews, and about two thirds of those are four or five stars. That fits what the text says: useful content, uneven recording. With 3,396 students it is not huge, and the course lists one quiz and no exercises, so practice depends on having your own SAP access. It is worth a look for finance people who can live with rough audio, but skip it if SAP is brand new to you.
Pros
- Covers FI end to end: GL, payables, receivables, asset accounting, plus MM, SD and HR integration
- Trainer goes slowly and reviewers say the process is easy to follow and rewind
- Sections are split by topic, so you can jump to one area such as dunning or asset accounting
- Includes real-world ticket handling, ASAP methodology and LSMW, which fit consultant work
Cons
- Audio problems come up often: traffic noise, low volume, background voices and long pauses
- Last updated in 2022, and a few reviewers report the SAP screen was missing or unreadable
- Controlling is thin at four lectures, and the trainer rarely explains why a setting is chosen
Venkat Sir explained the concepts and process very well and at good pace. Sections segregated very well.
Listed for all levels, but reviewers say it suits people with some finance or SAP exposure, not true beginners.

Course Description
A warm welcome to the SAP FICO course by Uplatz.
SAP FICO (Finance and Controlling) is derived from FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling/Management Accounting).
It is the Finance and Cost controlling module in SAP ERP where FI stands for Financial Accounting and CO stands for Controlling. SAP FICO is a core functional component in SAP ERP Central Component that allows an organization to manage all its financial data. SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) is one of the most widely used SAP modules.
SAP FI: SAP FI is used for external reporting purpose, for example, making Balance Sheet, Profit, and Loss statement. The objective is to record all financial transactions that are posted by an entity and produce financial statements which are accurate at the end of the trading period. SAP FI is made up of sub modules. The sub-modules that are often used are General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Asset Accounting. SAP FI Module integrates with other SAP Modules like SAP SD, SAP PP, SAP MM, SAP SCM, etc.
SAP CO: SAP CO is used for an internal reporting purpose. SAP CO includes managing and configuring master data that covers cost center accounting, profit center accounting, internal orders, real order, product costing, profitability analysis. It helps organizations in planning, reporting and monitoring business operations.
SAP FICO is a critical module of SAP ERP Business Suite. Functionally, both FI and CO modules store the financial related transactions/information. FI and CO modules are firmly integrated with other ERP modules such as Sales and Distribution (SD), Material Management, Human Resources Management, and so on.
Uplatz provides this in-depth training on SAP FICO module covering all aspects of SAP FICO module with practical implementation shown on the system.

Theoretically, all ERP systems have the same logic and structure. I have studied ERP systems theory at university, but at the same time I ам оне оф тхе architectс and developerс of the two largest ERP systems in Macedonia (ABMS and Ultra ERP). I am happy to see that SAP is well-designed and I am pleased that many users around the world use it. My цуррент job position is Data Engineer in оне e-commerce company here in Sweden and I had experience working on EDI Integrations with vendors that use SAP. The good thing is that SAP can be customized according to the needs of the users... I liked and enjoyed section 1...

I am not able to understand what she is teaching us even in 3rd lecture there is no practical window. it is quite disappointing for me. She is going with her pace putting value by her own and changing it immediately, People are laughing in her background. If you guys could able to give my refund back then please refund my money.

Excellent course , very comprehensive, it has some lagging but I believe that this is balanced off by the insightful examples and data and training content.

its more informative and interesting and easy to understand thanks a lot for the course looking forward to learn more :)

I wouldn't recommend for Fresher who has Zero knowledge on SAP/IT in general. Tutor explained concepts just from manual didn't give real examples or stopped to explain why certain errors or changes made while configuration. Each financial concepts could have explained better like why to check this field for configuration rather than just saying check or enter this.

The recording quality was not the best as I could hear noises of traffic in the background. However, the instructor's teaching method were excellent as he went slowly and also you can move the slider back if you missed something or even watch the video again.

I'm just happy to be finally doing this - I suspect I'll go over everything twice before I'm done. Thanks Udemy

I had high hopes to learn and I must tell you the instructor is VERY knowledgeable and patient. However the recording with the girl eating, drinking, saying OKAY so often is not professional. The recording should have been his laptop and he should NEVER take a business call during the taping.
