You know English ? That's more than enough to learn SAP MM

Our take
Based on the ratings of 16,665 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in August 2026. No course pays to be reviewed.
Siva Prasad's SAP MM course is a slow, example-based tour of materials management. It covers the procure to pay cycle, master data, special procurement, inventory movements, physical inventory and consumption based planning, then finishes with a long configuration block. The syllabus shows 26.8 hours across 205 lectures. The description says plainly that it is built for freshers, so people already working in other SAP modules may find it gentle. Prasad is a working SAP SD/MM consultant with about 12 years behind him, and the course expects students to arrange their own SAP IDES access.
Reviewers mostly like the teaching. They call it calm, simple and on point, with clear explanations that stay on topic. About 88 percent of the ratings are four or five stars. The complaints are specific. One student calls the delivery robotic enough to fall asleep to, another says the microphone is weaker than the explanation, and a third had slow video starts. Another reviewer missed automatic account determination, LSMW and IDocs, which the syllabus does not list. A Japanese reviewer found the explanations rough and the subtitles inaccurate.
The bigger catch is the system version. One reviewer expected S/4HANA and found only ECC, and the last hands-on section is labeled as old ECC. The course was last updated in August 2026, but the screens appear to be the older ones. A separate S/4HANA training in Plain English is listed beside it, so anyone who needs the newer system should look there first. For learning the core MM processes at an unhurried pace, this is a safe pick.
Pros
- Calm, simple explanations that stay on topic, according to many reviewers
- Covers purchasing, inventory, physical inventory and planning across 38 sections
- Long configuration block on material master, vendor master and info records
- Beginner friendly pace, with about 88% of ratings at four or five stars
Cons
- ECC only, so a reviewer expecting S/4HANA was disappointed
- Some find the delivery monotone, and one reviewer flagged the microphone
- Needs your own SAP IDES access, and account determination, LSMW, IDocs are missing
The way he was teaching is very simple . Easy to understand and very helpful for those who want to understand about SAP MM.
Beginner is accurate, but it assumes you can get your own SAP IDES access, and the screens are ECC.

Wish there were somebody who could teach you SAP MM in plain English without all the jargon ? You have come to the right place. This is an example-based, hands-on training series in SAP MM. The goal of this course is to teach you all the major business processes in Material Management, Procurement, Consumption based planning and Physical Inventory - the key process areas in SAP MM. On top of that this course will also teach you how to perform these transactions in SAP, hands-on.
If you are looking to become an SAP MM Functional consultant or an end-user in SAP MM, this course will both "paint the big picture" as well as "show you the weeds" .
What is this course about ?
SAP MM is a very vast subject. It takes at least 30 to 40 hours of learning. The goal of the course is to simplify this process as much as possible. The word "simplify" - that is really the key. This course does not claim to be the most comprehensive course in MM, nor the most advanced course in MM. It has just one goal - to let you learn SAP MM as simple as possible.
How long will this course take to complete ?
This course is designed to tell you everything you need to know about SAP MM in a very gentle way. Since this course is designed from a freshers' perspective, if you are already an SAP functional consultant ( in other areas of SAP ), then the pace of this course might be a bit slow.

Siva Prasad
I am an SAP SD/MM functional consultant with roughly 12 years of experience in SAP. Teaching has been my passion since a long time and I have been teaching SAP since 2009. I have worked on countless projects in SAP in the US and the rest of the world. I have worked with major companies in the US like Apple, Wal-mart, Adidas, Adobe, Johnson & Johnson etc.
All along, I have worked with numerous SAP consultants with skills that range from absolute rookie to SAP platinum consultants. And the one thing that I found lacking in many beginner level consultants is a lack of proper training. They were just 1 step away from being a good quality SAP consultant. This gap can be easily be filled with high quality training.
SAP, just like any other packaged software can best be learned by example. This has been the focus of all my trainings - Examples and correlating them to real-time scenarios. Once you learn how to co-relate a particular piece of configuration with a real time example, you can become as good as an experienced consultant.

I just start the lesson, hence, making comments on the course would be difficult, however, the way of teaching is quite simple for every learner. Let's see what next.

I had a very pleasant experience taking the course. The information was explained in a nice and easy to understand way and the provided examples helped me understand the material. I think this course was a very good starting point for me (as I have no experience with SAP or MM).

All the basics are clearly explained and any fresher or experience person without sap knowledge can understand concepts easily.

Sound levels are low. I regularly use the transcript to read along with the presentation and the auto-generated text quality is frequently wrong.
