Course Description
This is just the SAS SQL portion of my larger SAS Programming Complete Course. Ideal for students who are fairly comfortable with SAS Base but have not used SAS SQL all that much.
The goal of the course is to teach you SQL as it relates to the SAS programming language. In other words, you will learn SAS SQL. This means that you should have a good grasp of the SAS data step already! SQL is especially utilized for extracting/selecting data from database tables, and also manipulating that data.
If you're looking to gain a skill that is the PERFECT compliment to your knowledge with the SAS data step, this is the course. Employers often want employees to understand the SAS data step, and also how SQL is incorporated into the SAS Programming language.
Whether you are looking for a new job, looking to move up at your current company, or looking to get into a respected well-paying career after school..SAS SQL will get you that much closer.
The course has four main sections. The first section is Base Knowledge. You will learn about SQL syntax, including specifics on the Select and Where clause. You will also learn about Case Logic and Summary Functions. The second section is about Joining tables. I show you how to use the inner join, join three tables, left/right join, and full join. The third section is Working with Tables. I show you how to create a table, Alter columns (add, modify, delete) and how to Insert Rows in different ways. The final section is on Practical/Useful applications of SQL. For example, you'll learn how to Compare tables, find duplicate observations/get rid of them, how to sort the way you want to, and how to update a table under certain conditions.
Each section has video lessons, followed by a Quiz (that tests general knowledge), and then an Assignment (that requires you to apply what you've learned.)
Finally, you have nothing to lose. This course has a 30-day money back guarantee. Buy the course today and add another essential sas programming skill to your resume. SAS SQL.

I have a passion for anything data, whether it is applying statistical methods to data more generally, or utilizing a data-driven approach in the Healthcare or Finance/Banking industries.
I studied Psychology for 6-years, including 2 years of Graduate school, where I was training to be a Child/School Psychologist. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to experience a blend of course work and clinical work but also recognize some of the problems facing the mental health system and graduate school system. While I am very interested in finding a solution for the latter, this is a long-term goal.
I did ultimately decide to voluntarily leave the Grad program, it was via academics that I fell in love with statistics and statistical software like SPSS/SAS.
Furthermore, it was my Graduate school experience that not only solidified my interest in teaching, it's where I received a lot of positive feedback on my ability to break down complex topics.
I enjoy receiving messages from students who have passed exams, obtained interviews, or gained employment, from taking one of my courses.

This video is the first one to be blurry. Could not read the code at all throughout.

very basic by explaining SQL syntax, should have focused more on how to use SAS SQL to create graphs with the understanding that there is already knowledge from the learner

It was amazing how simple can be coding between SAS and SQL for my needs

I liked the course and the knowledge sharing based on real time example was really good . It could be made better if you may cover all the topics covered under Advance SAS certification under PROC SQL part. Regards, Nitin

The size of the code is too small. It would be great if the instructor could enlarge them.

Good start however my SQL knowledge is a little more advanced. I will most likely get more out of the course in later sections.

You have a clear accent. I am an Indonesian and I found it easy to listen to you.

Clear easy to learn presentation! Good intro/primer for SAS Advanced Programming certification, albeit not enough by itself.

I really liked the course, I would like it translated into the Portuguese language, like the Learn SAS course and Become a Data Ninja.

Really good. I liked the pace of the course. It is is not too slow and not too fast. The instructor developed the SQL code in a smart way so that all of the key areas are covered without dragging too much. Working on SAS university edition is a bit of pain, but we can not do anything as it is the only free edition available to learn. The Instructor responded to my questions very fast in 30 minutes to one hour(even though some of them are dumb questions..lol..). Thanks Ermin!!!
