Good overall. A little old. I would've done it using IntelliJ IDE since it's more modern. Instructor is also using old methods: - PATH for drivers when they already come in with Selenium dependency in Maven - @FindBy annotation is part of PageFactory which has not been actively maintained or updated to align with modern best practices in Selenium automation. Simon Stewart himself said "The PageFactory design ain't my best work. I'd recommend using it for inspiration for something better. Or just dealing with boilerplate."

The course has good explanations and covers a lot topics, but it falls short in several areas. It relies on outdated dependencies and uses Eclipse instead of more modern IDEs like Intellij IDEA, which would provide a better experience. Additionally, it offers very little on assertions in tests and doesn't reflect the 2024 updates. Overall, it's a decent course, but it needs updates to stay relevant.

Sal's approach to Selenium was both challenging and comprehensive. His hands-on illustrations of live projects helped gain insight into the world of automation testing in a way that relates to industry novices and mavens alike. Looking forward to seeing other courses he has to offer. My only concern is compatibility with Mac. (Sal's course is tailored for Microsoft Windows.)

Good course on Selenium and possibly the best course I have come across on Udemy in terms of beginner friendliness. Very thorough explanations and good repetition of old concepts which are iterated in the newer videos which was immensely helpful. The introduction to Java was also good. When I got stuck, the instructor was quick to respond and Sal was patient and thorough in his explanations and would respond most if not all the time within 24 hrs Thank you to the team who made this possible and thank you Sal

Good course, learn a lot new things related to testng, maven, extent reports, professor is clear and easy to understand, only thing I've missed are practices within the course, I mean it would be great to have some exercises at the end of each section to get more familiar with what you just learned, also live project focus on certain things but leave some out like more assert examples, the use of parametrization, overall is good course to learn a lot of how selenium can handle a framework but it kind of misses alone practices

An extraordinary course . Sal is beyond terrific as a instructor and professional in his teaching of Selenium with Java. He is extremely clear and easy to follow. Takes you through everything step by step at a great pace. He's very helpful if you run up against an issue. But, rarely do you come up against road blocks because of how organized and well thought out the course is. Thanks Sal! I do hope you will instruct and create more automation courses in the near future!

The course content covers the basic topics you need comprehensively and adequately. Instructor Sal always gets back to you very quickly when you need help and he tries to help you in good faith. Edit: Hi Sal! Just back to say a "Thank you!" The course was really helpful for me to get a new title on my company. Now I am a member of QA Automation Team :)

Highly recommended. I learned a lot during this course, Sal, the teacher of the course, teaches the course in a pleasant and orderly manner and also immediately answers questions that are asked in the Q&A section. In addition, there is a complete demo site where you can experiment with all types of tests and all the possibilities of Selenium. Thanks to the course, I created a template for myself with which I develop test automation scripts for the UI side easily and in an orderly manner. Thank you very much teacher Sal.

Thanks a lot , best explaination for all selenium concepts , need to gain some API testing knowledge please make some content on REST API testing.

By David Kost on 9/6/2022

Good course, clearly topics and explaining, a lot of examples with hand-on. The course is about Selenium 3, and Junit4 and not the newest version, but it's not a lot of dif, so you can easily after the course work on the new versions. In my opinion the Java section must be #4 (before diving to the tests), and the pdf of the lectures with subjects is miss(hope you will add it soon). So thnx for very good course, and waiting to the next... ;)
