Quite outdated information, very vague rationale with limited evidence provided to support his thesis. The course holds some merit, however it could very easily be summarised in a 15minute conversation, especially if there were better infograohics provided. This course was not worth the $14.99 imo. I have recieved far greater lessons from free (and shorter form) podcasts.

Enjoyed the course. Gave me a better understanding on how the brain works and various tips and a process on how to make my boy's learning most effective. I have already starting applying this material with him and I have already noticed improvements!

One more amazing experience for Barry's course! I am mad about courses related to mind, memory and learning. And I can say for sure that Barry Mapp's courses are the best available resources hands down! Why? because of 2 reasons 1) He has decades of experience in this field. So he know what questions we have and answers them before we even ask. It is so important to learn from experienced people because they give most digested form of knowledge. 2) He goes through very basics of any subject he teaches. I have taken many impressive courses which left me desiring for more. Because the instructors will start somewhere in between. The problem is, unless your basics are cleared you cannot even understand the rest. Its like trying to learn English without learning alphabets! 3) He responds within 24 hours for any question I have. Never seen any other instructor so passionate about the subject he teaches. Thank you Barry! Will love to take many more courses from you in the future. PS: if you are impatient learner like me, you would find the pace little slower. you can used Udemy's feature to speed up the lectures. 1.5x works best for me.

This course doesn't go much in depth. It sheds light on some very interesting aspects but I really feels like an introduction to mind mapping, which almost feel like something to promote the mind mapping course. I wish it covered more practical aspects and exercises.

Excellent. For me, the clear explanation with images of the brain demonstrates the importance of using models. As one who did not take any advanced high school science classes, I am still very interested and have watched various noted lecturers in the field of brain/neuroplasticity. None of those have been as clear to me as this. Thank you for making it simple and easy to follow.

the contents are interesting and useful, and the course has triggered me to think about how to teach people, but the content may be a little bit repetitive to me and too much overlapping with the mind mapping course

So far immensely impressed with the instructor's flexibility in thinking, and scientific basis for his models. Okay, he's preaching to a convert here who already agrees with much he's stated in the first three lectures, but I've already had some hints of new ideas and connections to pursue. I think this will be a great resource for parents and teachers.

You can tell that Barry does his mind mapping techniques to get us to really digest this newfound knowledge I hope to teach my son one day! As a parent I think everyone could have the basics down to how a kid learns and apply these techniques so that you can help them journey into a passionate path of success.

This course brought me up to date with children's learning needs. The course is very well laid out and explained in a clear and easy to understand way. The instructor kept my attention at all times and the overall production quality is excellent. I highly recommend this course. Thank you Barry and keep up the good work!
