Snowflake was written from the ground up to be a novel and advanced cloud data platform provided as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). Snowflake enables data storage, processing, and analytic solutions that are faster, easier to use, and far more flexible than traditional offerings.
In this nearly nine hour course, we talk about how Snowflake is a true SaaS offering. Specifically we address:
- How there is no hardware (virtual or physical) to select, install, configure, or manage.
- How there is virtually no software to install, configure, or manage.
- How maintenance, management, upgrades, and tuning are handled by Snowflake.

This is great presentation to understand Snowflake from scratch. Note: I hear some water dropping in background and this is year old presentation. Latest Snowflake UI is different than what we see in UI.

I am interested in getting my SnoPro certification, but that is secondary to understanding how to get things done in the Snowflake environment, coming from a SQL Server environment.

Buyer Beware....This course did a good enough job with the topics presented; However, there was A LOT of key information that was not presented, or not presented good enough. For example, one three minute section on roles is not enough - there was no information in regards to the account admin role inheriting the security admin and sys admin roles. An example of missing data is no mention of the Snowflake release types and release schedule. This WILL NOT provide all of the information needed to pass the certification exam. One must use this in conjunction with other materials.
