It opens with installing the server, then moves through data types, constraints, string and date functions, joins and views before reaching window functions, CTEs, stored routines and triggers. The requirements list assumes no technical background, and the syllabus backs that up. It is really aimed at true beginners, plus anyone who wants a quick refresher on database theory before an interview.

Reviewers like the easy opening and the clear, step by step explanations. Two call it ideal for beginners, and one singled out the install tutorial. His delivery gets praise too, though one reviewer found him hard to understand and rushed in spots. The complaints are consistent. PROS: 1) Delivery Style 2) Knowledge of the Tutor 3) Coverage of Topics 4) Explanations 5) Overall outline of the course. CONS: 1) Scenarios covered are too simplistic and basic, some more complex scenarios and coding practices would have been good. 2) Coding challenges are too simple for most topics.
