Overall, did learn a lot about spine and how to rig the 2D sprites and some basic animation. Still, instead of spending so much time doing an idle animation, one of the simpler animations, would have liked to have seen something like a walk or run animation. And how about blinking eyes? All the time spent on things like the ponytail, but nothing to make her blink? He does reasonably well telling you what to do, but not why you're doing it. Why do I need to make verts line up in a straight line? Why do I need to match inside and outside verts around the character image? Is that an industry standard, personal preference, something to make animation easier, etc.? The given resources also come with different outfits. Can we just swap out the textures and not have to redo all the verts and bones again? Do we have to do this process (drawing out verts and setting bones) for every outfit change? Can we just copy the parts to the various folders (eg. R_Leg) and hide the outfits we don't want, and somehow switch them via code? Would have been nice having a lesson showing us how to switch to one of the other outfits that were included with this course.
