I really enjoyed this course! Paul went through everything from getting set up all the way through final mastery and rendering. I learned a ton and I feel like it was completely worthwhile. I would recommend this course to anyone I know.

He wastes so much time with the intro of every little segment both repeating what was done and also saying things like This piece of information is amazing! You will save sooo much time with this technique. He literally says that half a dozen times. Another example is when setting up preferences, he goes to each setting one by one, looking at it, and then saying ok, you dont change anything there dozens of times, instead of figuring out the few settings that need to be changed and recording that, and saying leave everything else alone. The BoothJunkie YouTube channel, which Jenkins, the author of this course learned this from (and credits( gives this information for free, and cuts out all the unnecessary time wasting. That said, the technical information is solid, so Im giving a 3 instead of 2 stars. I also found the segments on the actual voice acting really mediocre too. He gives examples and line readings for voicing characters, e.g. how he would inflect things, and I found it really on the nose. I dont think I would enjoy a fiction book he narrates, based on what I heard. I wont dock the rating for that though, I just skipped some of it.

This course is excellent but I did not realise it was so long. Good value for money.

By Monique Smith on 11/19/2020

The information was useful, the settings were average, but I think he used an older version of Reaper which made it difficult to follow with the current version.

Paul many blessings to you for this course! I had begun to record my first audiobook, but after getting 3 chapters in, and many wasted hours later, I decided to pause and actually learn how to make a quality production. This course has filled many gaps in my knowledge.
The editing and mastering process was the biggest hurdle for me, so I really appreciated the detailed tutorials on setting up Reaper and getting it prepped specifically for audiobook production.
I can tell that you put a lot of work into the course, and because of that you have helped me to become a better audiobook producer and narrator. Thanks again from the U.S.!

This course is very informative. I am an actor seeking to head over to voiceover and audiobooks so required knowledge on mastering specifically for ACX. I work with Studio 1 as I record vocals as well but the principles are the same. Thank you for this course.

By Davyne DeSye on 11/4/2020

The course was very detailed and explanatory even for a technophobe. I'm quite pleased.
