The Complete Digital SAT Course (Reading and Writing, Math) (Udemy.com)

A complete guide: SAT Reading, Writing and Math Test Prep (Math, Reading and Writing)

Created by: Robert Hubbard

Last updated May 2026

Our take

Based on the ratings of 1,009 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in May 2026. No course pays to be reviewed.

Robert Hubbard's course is a strategy-first walkthrough of the digital SAT, split between Reading and Writing and Math. The syllabus shows about 30 hours over 171 lectures in 20 sections, with grammar, algebra, geometry, coordinate geometry, statistics and probability each getting their own block. It was last updated in May 2026. The audience is students early in their prep who want to learn how the exam works before they start drilling. Hubbard began as a Princeton Review instructor and lists over 10 years in test prep.

Reviewers like how clearly he explains things. One says he walks through the questions well, another finds it the easiest to follow of the prep they have paid for, and a student who learned math in French credits it with a higher score. One reviewer reports going from 900 to 1080 in two weeks. The complaints cluster around practice. Several want more quizzes and worksheets, and the course has 16 quizzes and no full practice tests. A 2-star reviewer found the math shallow, with nothing on the Desmos calculator. One calls his delivery slow, and one wanted English subtitles.

Of 1,009 ratings, 519 are five stars and 353 are four, so the 4.5 average looks earned. Treat it as the teaching layer, not the whole plan. It is a paid course with 5,086 students and a Bestseller badge, and it works best next to a separate bank of practice tests. Recommended for beginners who need the basics and the strategy. Students already aiming for top scores may find it too basic, and one reviewer says it covers what an average person would know about the SAT.

Best forBeginners starting SAT prep who want the test structure and strategies explained calmly before drilling.
Skip it ifYou need hundreds of practice questions, Desmos tricks or hard math problems to push a high score.

Course Description

Welcome! This is a complete, comprehensive course for the Digital SAT, the college admissions test administered and published by Collegeboard, covering all the sections of the test, Reading and Writing and Math. As a comprehensive course, if completed from beginning to end, a student should be fully prepared for the test by the time they finish the last lecture.

No prior knowledge of the SAT is needed. So, students can jump right in and get started in this course. The course will cover strategies to make the test easier, improve pacing, and deal with difficult questions. Included are techniques for reading the passages, recognizing typically right and typically wrong answers, identifying question types, how to guess intelligently and use POE (Process of Elimination) and understanding the structure and scoring schemes of the different sections. It will also cover subject area concepts like Geometry and Algebra concepts, grammar rules, and vocabulary.

The course uses a variety of resources to help students learn: handouts, quizzes, video lectures, and worksheets. The handouts and worksheets are available as pdf downloads, as well. There is a lot of content in the course, but it's designed so a student can do the sections in any order and work at his or her own pace.

I honestly loved this course. Going from a 900 to a 1080 on the SAT in just two weeks was something I didn’t think was possible. The way everything was explained actually made sense, and it really helped things click for me. I’m super grateful for how much it helped—definitely worth it

By Oybek on 7/16/2025

I have spent more than $1000 on sat courses up to this point, and I find this course to be the most comprehensive and easy to understand; every lesson feels very live as if I am sitting next to a person teaching me despite the fact that the course is pre-recorded

By Asma Wael on 7/11/2025

pretty nice course, it taught me good tips on how to approach SAT questions the only downside that I didn't like is that there aren't a lot of practice questions! it's just a good prep to give you a clear vision on how SAT questions look like so don't expect to find lots of pdfs containing hundreds of questions lol.

By Suhaylo Hushvakova on 10/9/2024

he kind of talks slow lol. other teachers are usually loud and energetic, hes like a normal guy talking about his boring day. idk if its that a bad thing tho. i dont wanna say you can find another one better than him because in my mind we have a special reletionship w him so i cant betray him. (there are rare moments that he laughs. enjoy them while it lasts.=)

By Erik Lindh on 7/11/2024

Very good and comprehensive course, covers a lot and has many great tips. Some sections could do with less detail and some perhaps with a bit more but that is set to occur on any course. The videos are somewhat slow paced as I found myself watching the videos between 1.25x and 2x speed. Nevertheless, the content covered is what actually matters and in that regard the course is amazing.

By Aditi Bhalla on 7/8/2024

pretty good considering my son went from a 1595 act to 1600 from just one course and now hes living his dream in harvard and studying to be a neurologists. hopefully I can retire soon when he gets a job.

By Manav Garg on 11/26/2022

The language part is really good. The instructor gives tips and facts almost impossible to find anywhere else. A slight lack of engaging delivery is keeping off of 5 stars. Can't comment on the math section since I had already done all that before.

By Advay Tapaswi on 7/24/2022

I have completed the course and at the beginning i did not have any idea about the test but now i exactly know how to go for and study for the test! The teaching has been superb and those quiz questions really helped! I've had a great time going through the course and I sincerely thank our Instructor for guiding and sharing his knowledge. I will be giving my test very soon. Thank You So Much Sir!

He clearly states all of the important ideas and covers practically everything, however he occasionally skips areas, such as the algebra section details, assuming we already know them, and he also becomes too dull and discusses unnecessary stuff.
