Nmap is a code based tool, so If I would be black, White, or grey hacker I will use it more that today, it is good to know about this important tool.

Nathan House is a great professor and knows how to explain all the concepts in a easy way to understand. I already knew how to work with Nmap and decided to get into this course to learn more about its details. I gave 3.5 starts because i was expecting a more practical course. I was expecting a course were Labs would be created in order to test the Nmap scans and respective results..

Very practical course about Nmap tool by an IT security expert. But it seems just a set of video lessons about the official guide: the author simply describes all the tool command line options, even though with concrete examples. Moreover he seems really 'tired' in speaking, but this could be just a personal impression. Maybe sections 13 and 14, even though very interesting, are quite out of the scope of the course and should be part of 'extra-course' or course material: without them the certificate cannot be achieved.

Nathan is very knowledgeable, and the course is good enough to get you started with Nmap. Nathan goes through all Nmap and Zenmap features which are essential tools to know about in the active reconnaissance phase, but it lacks more practical lectures on the NSE (Nmap Scripting Engine), though there are some good pre-made scripts covered in the NSE section. I know this is ain't a programming course, but overall this is recommended for anyone who's interested in information gathering or new to the field.

Nathan is a real expert and goes deep into the topics, paying attention to every detail, focusing on the practical usage and sharing stories from his own experience as a professional penetration tester and security expert. I'd definitely take more of his courses.

The course starts with the nmap help menu, so incase you need some videos to follow the help then its a good basic one to begin with before you jump into "man nmap" in Linux or the nmap book. The scripting part makes it interesting and still going on however I would expect another Advance course then with the more practical and useful examples used in real world, though it might differ as per the target. Nathan does a great job and not hiding anything as he starts with the help menu and explains one by one on the screen, that would be boring to understand on our own. If someone explains the things his way, then its easy to explore further without getting bored :)

A great course on using nmap from beginner to intermediate users. While it doesn't go in-depth into advanced usage, it is very comprehensive and the extra lectures after the courses are as valuable as the course itself. All in all, well worth the time & money invested. I am a fan!

Instructor explained each command very well. If the output of each command is explained more elaborately it will be much more good. Instructor covered as much as he can. Practical examples and real case studies adds much value to the course.

I think this is a great course he really goes in detail with all of the options that are available for nmap and then caps over zenmap at the end which is a lot more comprehensible for beginners and it is overall a great course for people who are trying to dip their toes in the Cyber Security field. I would highly recommend this course to others!
