Robert Mathisen
My name is Robert Mathisen.
I started tutoring when I was in high school. Not for pay, or anything like that, but simply because there was a friend in the class that needed help.
I knew at some point in my career I wanted to become a teacher, but admittedly, I wanted to keep my options open and see what I could do with my Math & Science skills.
I went to New Jersey Institute of Technology where I graduated as an Industrial Engineer.
I would sit in the front of all my classes, take notes, and do my work.
When I learn something new, I take notes in a way that I would explain it to someone else.
I was taught at a young age, "If you can explain it to someone else, then you really have the content down pat."
In college, it seemed like it was nearly every exam, I would have 5 classmates asking if I would help them prep for the exams.
I was, once again, unofficially tutoring my classmates now in my Physics & Engineering classes.
They would tell me, "You should be a teacher."
This gave me the confidence that I was capable of teaching complex topics.
After 4 years in the engineering field, realizing this was not my true passion, I transitioned into becoming a high school teacher.

i did an actual physics class and this taught me nothing relevant

The best instructor I've ever had. I had never understood physics so easily before taking this course. The explanations are clear, engaging, and easy to follow. I even found myself becoming fascinated with physics and genuinely enjoying solving problems and learning new concepts. I highly recommend this course because it guides you step by step through the learning process, so you never feel lost or overwhelmed. One of the best courses I have ever taken.

The. instructor makes magic out of physics. He really explains things clearly and it is very understandable. Thanks for making this such a fun and fantastic course. My only feedback for improvement, is to continue adding more to this. Or do another level of physics course because you lecture so well. I want more of this from you!!!!

Just finished this course and I highly recommend it! Especially if you're like me and don't have any prior knowledge of physics. Other beginner physics courses expect you to already know a bunch of concepts, while this teacher explains everything you need to know. thank you for this course, Robert!!

This course has been exceptional so far , he does an amazing job breaking concepts into easily digestible chunks that gives you an in depth understanding of each topic while also increasing the rate of learning and consolidating the information each step of the way

I finished and it helped me a lot. If you dont know anything about physics just like me in the beginning, I strongly encourage this course. It really helps for you to create a general understanding about main topics in physics. Thanks Again For creating this course Mr. Robert !

Best course you can get for a physics beginner, everything is explained simply and it's so much easier to understand concepts, out of all the physics courses, I bought, this is the best course I've ever taken. If you're trying to learn physics as a beginner this is the best course to go for. Even if you're taking AP Physics, (like me) I still recommend this course. It has helped me tremendously.

Exceptional teacher! Dumbs it down to the point where anyone can learn this course! If you’re thinking about learning Physics 1, do it with this course! I’m a high schooler and decided to teach myself this class and I learned all of what Physics 1 had to offer with an extremely easy and fun way to understand it!

So easy to follow through! Usuallly physics teachers, science teachers, heck, teachers in general purposefully mystify their subjects (so they seem smarter to the fledgling pupil than they reallly are), but this guy gives everything as it is - reeeeeeeeeeeeeal clear. This 'll be a cheap A for those in G12 physics. Or people that just want to learn physics in general will get a ton out of it too!

This is a must-take for those who find Physics dry and difficult. The content is comprised of easy-to-understand visuals and explanations. I could tell that the instructor genuinely cares about students and teaching for example, by being attentive to answering questions and explaining the content with passion. His teaching methods of breaking down the concepts in short (less than 10min each) and step-by-step videos (in parts) worked well for someone like me who was just scared and thought Physics as difficult and dry. After finishing it, I can now appreciate what Physics is about. Thank you for the course and hope you continue teaching. Mr. Mathieson!
