Course Description
This is your complete, all-in-one course for learning AI game development with Unreal Engine 5 and C++ — starting from the very basics and progressing all the way to advanced systems. Whether you're a beginner with no prior experience or an intermediate developer looking to go deeper, this course is designed to equip you with both foundational knowledge and practical game development skills.

I am a Software Engineer, and Technical Instructor with more than 8 years of experience building software systems, AI-powered applications, backend services, and commercial products.
My journey began in game development, where I spent years working with Unreal Engine, C++, multiplayer systems, networking, optimization, game AI, and large-scale software architectures. I am the developer of the multiplayer shooter game Deadly Domain, published on the Epic Games Store, where I applied advanced programming, AI systems, networking, and software engineering principles to build a complete commercial product.
I am also the developer of Dead2Rise, published on Steam, where I designed and implemented advanced AI systems, including large-scale crowd management, AI perception systems using sight and hearing, hive-minded AI behaviors, dynamic day and night systems, environmental awareness, AI missions, adaptive NPC behaviors, and learning systems that allow AI characters to evolve their abilities and decision-making over time based on interactions with the player and the game world.
Over the years, I have published numerous courses covering C++, object-oriented programming, memory management, multiplayer systems, game AI, Unreal Engine 5, and software engineering. These courses have helped thousands of students strengthen their programming skills and build real-world projects from start to finish.

It is what I expected so far, audio has high and low parts, but is understandable enough to follow. Some things are overly explained at times, but I don't mind this and consider it a plus. I did have issues with Visual Studio Code compiling as I needed to run it from a Developer Command Prompt for the first part of the course, none of this was mentioned, but I figured it out by reading some installation instructions (this was not a problem once I started using it with Unreal. So far I am enjoying the course and do not regret purchasing it at all. There were a few sections I got confused about as he seemed to skip or come back with parts of code we just wrote missing, but was not an issue once I realized the code written was more for example purposes, and we were now moving forward. Either way, I am very happy as I purchased the course on sale and I know there was a lot of work put into making it. It has also kept my interest, something many other courses have not faired well at doing. I think it would be good for beginners or someone wanting to learn C++ with Unreal 5.0 - 5.2 not really 5.3 as the C++ directory he refers to would not show up in 5.3 (this may have been my lack of knowledge). I had no issues with this when I went to Unreal 5.2 so I am just using that so I can complete the course and learn what is being taught. I do plan on finishing the course and then proceeding to experiment with what I have learned (which has already been a lot). I believe by the time I am done with the course I will have gained enough confidence to make simple games and begin to experiment and implement some custom code in my games (this is yet to be seen though). I then plan to move on to some of the more difficult C++ for Unreal courses I have purchased that I believe are probably more in-depth in their concepts, but also much more difficult to proceed through and can cause one to lose interest. I am hoping that this course will give me a good enough foundation and confidence to start programming C++ in Unreal 5, so far I am happy with it.

The class covers a lot! The instructor does a good job of explaining everything as well as showing you ways to find information you may need in future projects. You should have a good understanding of AI in unreal and C++ by the time your finished with this course. I have learned so much and things that were not clicking before have started to click with how the instructor explains everything. Definitely recommend taking this course for your game development journey!

I opened up Udemy, I was searching for something that at least just went over the basics of C++ Programming in Unreal 5. Little down this course what popped up, I was happy to see that on top of the basics, AI programming and some other stuff would be taught as well. so far, I've learned a ton. Some of what I've learned: - C++ programming - Unreal Engine5 basics - Using C++ with Unreal Engine5 - Creating a city map and finding free game tools in epic games launcher - AI basics in Unreal Engine5 - AI people, police and vehicles - Setting up rigs, animations, blueprints, player controllers and more. I genuinely appreciate how Instructor gives clear and easy to follow explanations. What I mean by that is, it is not just a pack of information that you either figure out or you don't, I see the instructor reach out and put effort into resolving any questions or issues people are having good example for that is the last section of course, which is specified for Q&A.

The course starts off well, with a good introduction to C++ and the basics of Unreal. However, during the course, the instructor seems a little confused in the explanations and makes several mistakes, and then comes back to correct them, making it difficult to follow the class. It could be better if the video was edited by taking out the parts of the errors and showing only the part with the correct solution. That way the video time would decrease and for those who copy the code as they watch the videos, they wouldn't need to redo everything too. You can see a certain rush of the instructor to finish, since in the last lessons he practically abandons C++ and starts using blueprints for everything (especially the cars part). The quality of the videos is very bad. Despite having the option of 720p, the videos are totally blurred, making it difficult to read the codes, and in the last classes with the code being displayed in a smaller font, it is near to impossible to read on a laptop or on a cell phone. I did not like.

I am halfway through the course and it is good so far. Explanations are a bit slow but he explains everything to make sure people understand everything and what things do. My Biggest issue is with the Audio, the voice is either low or high and sometimes he has a high-pitched voice that is quite aggressive. Audio should be equalized before and a better mic should be bought for upcoming recording

Really a great course, I was not expecting that much topics from the course with this price. Good explanation, step by step beginning to advance topics, combining C++ to Unreal Engine 5, clearly explaining Artificial intelligence in gaming and much more. Thanks instructor for creating this kind of course. I will be waiting for more courses… I will recommend this course for anyone beginner or intermediate who wants to learn C++, Unreal Engine 5 and Artificial intelligence in gaming.
