I really enjoyed this course. I haven't been able to get into learning for ages, and was feeling hesitation, but it really inspired me. I found the content really helpful. Some have said it was a bit too much but for me I really liked how comprehensive it is and the perspectives the presenter takes in terms of really thinking about how technology will impact future work. The amount of work that has gone into the resources is pretty incredible. I did find that I wanted to have the whole lot to hand to go back to as it was too much to easily go through each resource at the time (even though the presenter said that was the optimal way to do it). I have played a few segments to friends and it's created a lot of discussion. I watched it on 1.75x as that is how my brain best focuses. I got a real sense of care as well, which is kind of interesting given that you are not actually meeting a person but their kindness and goodwill came across strongly to me. As someone who is likely neurodivergent I find that I really gel with neurodivergent presenters (the presenter notes he is dyslexic) because of the breadth and complexity, visual systems of many neurodivergent thinkers. This can be too broad for some people, but for me this is fantastic. Thank you.

Hi, I’m Dr. Thomas Carroll, author of Future Skills 2030, and I help learners understand how technology, work, and society are changing — and develop the skills needed to adapt and thrive.
Much of my work centres on two connected questions:
What is changing?
AI, automation, emerging technologies, new ways of working, and wider economic and social change.
What skills will we need in response?
Critical thinking, creativity, adaptability, problem-solving, futures thinking, resilience, and lifelong learning.
My aim is not simply to describe the future, but to help learners understand what change means for them and what they can practically do about it.
