Understanding Engineering Drawings (Udemy.com)

Doesn't show pic until explanation mostly done...keeps watcher engaged. Graphics are very representative. Explanations are clear. A lot of the graphics are blurred and hard to read but I can tell they are good examples.

Let's start with the bad and end with the good. I found the editing of the videos to be a bit sub-par. Audio screw ups are not always edited out and the audio quality seems to vary. Secondly, the information seems a bit lacking. Material finishes are not explained though datumns, planes, radius, diameters and parralels are. Seems a little inconsistent. Now on to the good. This is still a good course to take and I would recommend. Plenty of information, especially for those with no knowledge of technical drawings at all. Everything is explained well with examples and everythings flows together nicely.

This course was excellent—everything was well explained, easy to understand, and nicely concise. The short format made it easy to follow without feeling overwhelmed. Highly recommend it for anyone seeking a concise yet clear introduction to the topic.

Exactly what I was looking for as a refresher course as I prepared for an interview requiring familiarity with engineering drawings. Some have complained about some very minor issues with edit quality. My two cents - I like seeing behind the curtain and knowing how much work and editing goes into making these videos. Thanks for the content!

I just started a new job in a metal fabrication plant being hired on as Engineering Assistant. I will be taking some of the workload off of the Engineer and I know nothing about this type of work. Even though I am in the clerical part of it, I have been learning the background of why I am doing what I am doing. It is all so fascinating seeing how a finished product is manufactured. Learning how to read engineering drawings and taking on online course was part of my training. Thank you for this wonderful course.

This is very basic introduction to engineering drawings reading. I expected much more. In the last video you show more complicated drawings. I expected to be able to read them without problems after watching your course, but instead was showing very very basic stuff.

Good course with pertinent content. A couple of issues with the video/audio during the course (some areas should be cleaned up for either long pauses or moderator disconnect) but other than that it is what I needed and expected. I will recommend to my colleagues.

Some videos a little glitchy but manageable. Some slides have written descriptions describing the items being taught, the instructor was just reading the written descriptions which I found a little bothersome considering I can read the text on my own. A little more freestyle explanation from the instructor might engage the audience more.

The instructor's voice is enthusiastic and he seems knowledgeable. It was helpful that he added little nuance notes in to show applicability and various uses of the terms. I'm an assistant project manager and new to the field and it's really been helpful in understanding high level what will be developed and used in my company. After taking this course I feel I can ask informed questions and not look completely novice. Thanks Instructors Harkins & Pace!

I took this class as an introduction to technical drawing with the aim to progress to mechanical drafting. I know that this isn't who this class is aimed towards, but this seemed like the closest I could find on here. I feel like it gets so close to being a good introduction, but doesn't quite get there. Just looking at pdfs found around the internet, there are some things that seem to be missing or things that were not explored in enough depth and I find myself having to look for something more comprehensive elsewhere. I think this class would benefit from being more in depth, similar to an introductory course someone would take in college or university for engineering, architecture, etc. It would be useful to more people while still being useful to the current target demographic.
