Course Description

Trading options without an understanding of the greeks would be like trying to fly a plane without the ability to read instruments.

Unfortunately, many traders have never heard of the greeks and yet they jump into options. This puts them at risk later, much like a pilot would experience flying in bad weather without the benefit of instruments.  This class is designed to teach you how to trade options correctly. After learning about Delta, Gamma, Theta & Vega, you will be able to put on great trades. You will be able to easily adjust trades that are not working as expected (option repairs). You will be able to understand whether remaining in the trade is good or bad based on the time decay (theta) experienced daily. What could be better than learning how to avoid losses and maximize profits?

The delta of an option will also tell you how likely (statistically) an option is to being in-the-money. In other words, the options market gives you the answers to all of the questions you could possible ask. If a stock is at $50/share. Then you can with the click of a mouse find out how probable it is that the stock would be at 45/share, 50/share or 55/share over the next month! When I first learned what the professional traders know it blew my mind! When taking an option position or setting up an options strategy, there will be risk and reward from the following factors:

  • Price change (delta)
  • Changes in volatility (vega)
  • Time decay (theta)

Expected a bit more of this course. I was hopping to get some examples of how to use greeks to trade certain option strategies. All in all quite fundamental and needs to be understood but feel like I could have learned all of this by just googling for it.

Excellent as always. Having a better grasp on the Greeks was the missing link in my understanding of options and Corey brought me up to speed with clear, concise explanations and good examples. If you trade options or want to start then you should drop in and check it out.

More pratical examples are required. The 5th Options Greek ie: Rho has not been explained. Kindly add immediately. I have paid for all the Greeks.

Great examples, understanding the material makes it easier with the examples. It is, being to wrap one's head around the concepts of how the markets work.

I had a doubt that this course was going to be good but after watching I was glad I bought it. It explains very well a very hard (boring) concept "the greeks" . The instructor does a good job giving examples to grasp the concepts. I recommend it for any beginner who is trying to understand the greeks since they are very important for an option trader. Thanks

This an absolutely critical course for understanding options. The good part is that the course explains the greeks with respect to money ness of the options and it is very much applicable to real world. Perhaps a few exercises and quizzes will make it a 5 star course -Ojus

This information about "The Greeks", delta, gamma, theta, and vega, is presented in an understandable manner. The unique graphics and examples were very helpful.

Was looking for more information. Being that the greeks are so important, it would have been nice to see it really hammered in-depth. But if you're new to options, this course will do you a great service.

By Keith R on 1/7/2017

By far the best explanation of Greeks in relation to options trading. I've watched several other tutorials on understanding options and this has been the most informative and easy to understand material I have come across.

By Katarzyna Taylor on 11/30/2016

This is a really great and speedy introduction to the "Greeks". Not quite as technical as I was expecting, but the instructor does a good job of explaining how each greek changes and what it implies. A very worthwhile course to those who are not at all familiar with options valuation.
