Course Description

In today's fast-paced technological landscape, staying ahead of the competition is paramount for any programmer. The integration of AI into the coding process dramatically increases efficiency, enhance code quality, and reduce time spent on debugging and routine tasks. This course is designed for forward-thinking developers who recognize the necessity of adapting to these changes to maintain a competitive edge.

In this course you will learn different AI code assistants like ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Tabnine, and Cursor AI Editor which add value to your programming skillset. We will compare these tools and you will learn how to use each of them. You will also learn best practices how programmers use AI in 2024 using the latest technology. These tools are not just about speeding up the coding process; they represent a new way of thinking about problem-solving and code generation. By learning to effectively integrate AI into your workflow, you can free up valuable time to focus on more complex and creative aspects of your projects, leading to faster development cycles and more innovative solutions.

You will learn through real-world use cases and hands-on tutorials designed to give you practical experience and confidence in using AI as part of your coding toolkit. The course includes cheatsheets for each of the tools we will use during the course so you will be equipped with the list of shortcuts you can use in your daily programming.

Whether you're a junior developer looking to quickly move up the ranks or a senior programmer aiming to stay relevant and efficient, mastering AI code assistants is crucial. This course is your gateway to not just keeping up with the industry but setting the pace. I'm reviewing this course to see if the company wants to buy more as training for our team. I am seeing the course so far is building up to using AI. I assume it will eventually show the agents do work in vs code. One thing I do notice is some of the data is out of date and needs to be updated. For example, one section goes over Chat GPT 3.5 vs 4 which is not the current version.

Yes. Good intro to AI code tools. I've been taking Ardit's courses in Python for awhile so I was very interested in this. As usual, his explanations are very clear and also engaging.

The author prepared a brilliant course, where brought together the most widely used AI tools, but seams the information was a bit outdated. Anyway, I have obtained some knowledge and this information was useful for me.

I appreciate the detail of comparing and contrasting the different AI technologies used such as General Platforms like Chat GPT or Gemini, and the more specific AI coding extensions within a IDE coding environment such as CoPilot and TabNine (as well as the different Coding platforms such as VS code and PyCharm and more recently Cursor with AI-driven features). My perspectives of AI technologies in coding is more like Hawaii than the Mainland now. Thank you for the detail.

Ardit gives the right advice, a sort of framework, in order to use properly and effective the AI Code assistant. AI it's a tool that increase the productivity, not the developer. Nice course!

Great pace with really good explanations going through the course. The way it is delivered make is easy to follow. The instructor provides great examples and connects everything together, so it all makes perfect sense.

This was a really good introduction on how you can use AI to help develop code. Very good evaluation/comparison of the 3 tools. Was fun to follow along/try the app creation with AI.

By Aurelian M on 4/19/2024

Nice introductory course on how to leverage the power of generative AI for writing, understanding or debugging code. It does show which tools to use for that and how to use them. I would have expected a bit more of these: * a more complex example on a real existing project * more about limitations of AI. E.g. show more cases in which the generator does not provide the proper answer and how to verify/avoid that. I did learn new things since I only knew about ChatGPT before this course. Now I know about Cursor, Github Copilot and Tabnine.

By Francisco Salgado Cerredelo on 2/22/2024

Good intro to AI tools, although the real-use case could be more extensive, for example how to beautify the output, the use of tables in a data-centric app, or something like that.

By David Rogers on 2/22/2024

A really good course, helping me to understand the different Ai options available. This will hopefully save me time, misplaced effort and money in the long term.
