Nice things: 1. The course was well structured. 2. Everything was coded and taught 3. Many complex topics were made simple and explained Can be improved: 1. It felt more like a training aimed for someone who is new to programming , rather than new to rust. So at times a lot of things were repeated a lot. 2. Some full fledged projects could have been added with different applications so that students can see how it is applied in real world projects.

Great course. The instructor is very thorough without being boring or repetitive. Rust is a very powerful language and can be overwhelming, even for seasoned programmers. The instructor's method for teaching Rust takes by the hand and helps the student grow his/her understanding building block by building block. Boris, now that I'm close to finishing this course, I can honestly say this is one of best courses I've ever taken. Full stop. I'm loving Rust. I wonder if you'd consider creating (a) course(s) on async Rust, Tokio and frameworks built on Tokio. For example, Axum and the emerging full-stack Rust frameworks like Dioxus and/or Tauri. That would be a set of killer advanced courses based on the foundations this course provide. I would take them in a heartbeat. Thanks again.

This course goes through rust in detail, however, it doesn't teach you to program in rust. As an experienced dev, I like that but a beginner may struggle to apply the course in a real project. As an experienced dev, I found the instructor to talk about things to basically. This is good for beginners. If you can get past the caveats, this is a very good course. The instructor is engaging, clear, and enthusiastic. Recommended.

This is one of the best starting points for anyone who wants to learn Rust deeply and in a structured, fundamental way. I had previously tried to learn Rust from scattered resources, but in many cases, I didn’t understand why certain techniques were used. When I wrote code on my own, I often couldn’t get it right without running into errors first and then learning from those errors. However, after taking this course, I was able to write code with a clear understanding and confidence. The level of patience, attention to detail, and depth in the explanations is truly impressive. I genuinely appreciate the effort put into this course—thank you for such a high-quality learning experience.

It's been an interesting journey. I started learning programming with Python in 2021, but I ended working with JavaScript and SQL for web data analysys. But I used a lot of Go to create simple scripts with serverless functions, and yet programming remained my main interest regarding my personal research. Some years ago when I learned that Rust was accepted at the Linux kernel code I realized that there was something special about this language. I feel like I'm running a more complicated version of TypeScript + pointer-like stuff that is definetely the topic I need to focus the most. Lately I studied basic C++ in 2025 and Java SpringBoot API dev in 2026, so it's been nice to go deeper into Rust's concepts and architecture.

Un cours avec de bonnes explications dans un anglais clair et les sous-titres sont de qualité. Le cours est intéressant même pour ceux qui s'y connaissent déjà avec d'autres langages. Il y a une quantité d'heures de cours importante qui aborde tous les fondamentaux de ce langage strict car le compilateur ne pardonne pas le manque de rigueur d'écriture mais aussi de logique. Et puis ici le gros intérêt c'est qu'on a affaire à un langage bas niveau et donc avec un champ d'application bien différent des autres langages dits haut niveau qui ont en général besoin d'un environnement pour tourner.

So far it's been really good. I come from the world of C++, and I just wanted to learn how to code with rust, and I can guarantee that this course is the real deal. This course not only goes into the very basics, but it also goes into the most complex aspects of the language. For those that are just starting to code for the first time, this course will not only teach you about the language, but also open your mind to the world of computer science. For those advanced coders that come from other languages like me with C++, the first couple of lessons will feel super easy, and the ladder will further show you the power of the language and its differences between other languages.

Instructor's explanation is very clear and easily understandable. He uses the topic covered in previous lectures in following lectures; this help learning process greatly. The only downside to his lectures are that it's targeted for someone who has never coded before. So if you know how to program in other languages, you will have to fast forward many of his lectures.

The course is excellent for both new developers and those experienced in other languages who need to understand Rust’s specific mechanisms. The instruction is clear, and the topics progress in a well-structured way, building a solid foundation for the modules that follow. The pacing is on the slower side, but experienced developers can comfortably follow along at 2x speed without missing anything.
