It is generally a good introduction to Android, but there are some points to keep in mind: 1. The course says that it is good for beginners. However, and being experienced in Java prior to the course, I can tell that it is not the case, unless you have a lot of patience and are willing to dig into base programming topics yourself, it'll be really difficult to keep up as you advance. 2. No finished code is provided at any point. So basically if you missed something during the class, you won't have an easy way to review the code and perform corrections. 3. The course feels a bit incomplete (at least in the last section), not sure if the teacher is planning to add the final classes, but there has already been one year since the last update.

Instructor Bio
I am currently a Senior Android Engineer at a major UK company, although I do not come from a computer science background.
I started my career as a professional musician and fully qualified music teacher, teaching both in the UK and internationally, including in the Middle East.
Always interested in computers and technology, I began to teach myself to code when I returned to the UK from teaching abroad. With no prior coding experience or computer science degree, I taught myself first Java and then Android Development, launching a successful app on the Google Play Store. Later on I got my first job as a Mobile App Developer, before advancing my career to the point where I am now the Senior Android Engineer, developing an app used by millions.
This unique combination of having no computer science background, being a fully qualified teacher, and making the career switch myself makes me an ideal instructor in guiding students in their journeys at acquiring this wonderful new skill.
Not only have I done this myself (taught myself to code), but as a fully qualified teacher I am expert in putting together an integrated curriculum where the path from beginner to master is carefully crafted to leave my students with a deep understanding, a shared passion and enthusiasm, and the proof that this journey is possible, as proven by myself as instructor.
