Course Description

Welcome!

If you want to learn English vocabulary quickly, this course is for you. I'm your teacher, Andrea Giordano, from Study With Andrea. I have helped more than 1,000,000 students speak clear English, and I am so excited to teach you today.

This Advanced Vocabulary course is designed for students who are preparing to take a standardized English exam such as the TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, or Cambridge exam. This course teaches you hundreds of words that are C2 words in the CEFR scale, Band 9 words on the IELTS, And 100+ words on the TOEFL.

In addition to the TOEFL and IELTS, these words are also necessary for top scores on tests like TOEIC, Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), Eiken, the Versant English Test, the College English Test in China, and many more. I have worked as an official rater for one of these standardized tests, so I know the kind of vocabulary you need to know to get your dream score.

After watching this course, you will know the meaning of hundreds of high advanced words, and you will be able to pronounce them clearly.

For each word I teach you in this video course, you will hear and see 5 things:

  1. The word

  2. The part of speech, meaning I will tell you whether it is a noun, adjective, adverb, or verb

  3. The word again, so you can perfect that pronunciation

  4. The definition of the word

  5. The word used in a sentence

Be sure to repeat after me each time I say the word so that you can perfect your pronunciation. Don't just sit there...participate.

If you focus and participate, this course will help you get a top score on your English test.

Let's get started!

Andrea

It's fully fit for advanced-level learners. If feasible, please make a passage comprising all these new words, which could be a memorable method of creating much more value.

Great communication skills, printable material could improve. Some words are not as useful and I personally believe some others could help in a more effective way to widen the vocabulary of the students.

Great course to improve pronunciation and vocabulary. I think you could improve this course if you introduce more sentences as examples. It would be interesting if you introduced longer pauses to give the student some time to repeat the sentences aloud. The way it is I have to pause the videos all the time.

Al principio parece que no hay muchas palabras avanzadas, pero realmente las hay, se aprende my bien la pronunciación y es fácil saber el significado con los ejemplos que pone y los test

Excellent lesson to repeatedly learn important vocabulary! By the way, there seems to be two typos as follows. (Typo1) "Second 100 Words - 61-70 Nouns" 4:06 The zenith ~ at the Grand Old Opry. ->Grand Ole Opry (Old -> Ole) (Typo2) "Second 100 Words - 91-100 Verbs" 1:22 Trangress -> Transgress ("s" is missing.) *The same typo is made at the secton "Repeat After Me - Second 100 Words" 6:32.

I thought it was very good, there were many words that I did not know and it is always good to expand the vocabulary. The way of explaining it is good and helps to understand better.

I like the structure of the presentation. I see that there is a quiz at the end of the section, but I would like a mini quiz added to the end of each subsection. I will continue attending. The quiz was not challenging. Thank you.

Nice teacher, good advanced vocabularies, but could you please add a ppf list of 200 words to the resources for us to see, it will help us review whole list easier, I mean it would be easier to navigate some words we need to revise, thank you teacher!
