Course Description
Welcome to (what I think is) the web's best course on Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn, and more! This course will level up your data skills to help you grow your career in Data Science, Machine Learning, Finance, Web Development, or any tech-adjacent field.
This is a tightly structured course that covers a ton, but it's all broken down into human-sized pieces rather than an overwhelming reference manual that throws everything at you at once. After each and every new topic, you'll have the chance to practice what you're learning and challenge yourself with exercises and projects. We work with dozens of fun and real-world datasets including Amazon bestsellers, Rivian stock prices, Presidential Tweets, Bitcoin historic data, and UFO sightings.
If you're still reading, let me tell you a little about the curriculum.. In the course, you'll learn how to:
Work with Jupyter Notebooks
Use Pandas to read and manipulate datasets
Work with DataFrames and Series objects
Organize, filter, clean, aggregate, and analyze DataFrames
Extract and manipulate date, time, and textual information from data
Master Hierarchical Indexing
Merge datasets together in Pandas
Create complex visualizations with Matplotlib
Use Seaborn to craft stunning and meaningful visualizations
Create line, bar, box, scatter, pie, violin, rug, swarm, strip, and other plots!
What makes this course different from other courses on the same topics? First and foremost, this course integrates visualizations as soon as possible rather than tacking it on at the end, as many other courses do. You'll be creating your first plots within the first couple of sections! Additionally, we start using real datasets from the get go, unlike most other courses which spend hours working with dull, fake data (colors, animals, etc) before you ever see your first real dataset. With all of that said, I feel bad trash talking my competitors, as there are quite a few great courses on the platform :)
I think that about wraps it up! The topics in this courses are extremely visual and immediate, which makes them a joy to teach (and hopefully for you to learn). If you have even a passing interest in these topics, you'll likely enjoy the course and tear through it quickly. This stuff might seem intimidating, but it's actually really approachable and fun! I'm not kidding when I say this is my favorite course I've ever made. I hope you enjoy it too.

Hi! I'm Colt. I'm a developer with a serious love for teaching. I've spent the last few years teaching people to program at 2 different immersive bootcamps where I've helped hundreds of people become web developers and change their lives. My graduates work at companies like Google, Salesforce, and Square.
Most recently, I led Galvanize's SF's 6 month immersive program as Lead Instructor and Curriculum Director. After graduating from my class, 94% of my students went on to receive full-time developer roles. I also worked at Udacity as a Senior Course Developer on the web development team where I got to reach thousands of students daily.
I’ve since focused my time on bringing my classroom teaching experience to an online environment. In 2016 I launched my Web Developer Bootcamp course, which has since gone on to become one of the best selling and top rated courses on Udemy. I was also voted Udemy’s Best New Instructor of 2016.
I've spent years figuring out the "formula" to teaching technical skills in a classroom environment, and I'm really excited to finally share my expertise with you. I can confidently say that my online courses are without a doubt the most comprehensive ones on the market.
Join me on this crazy adventure!

Very good course. there's something really great about the way Colt teaches. It doesn't feels like you're in a pre-recorded video course, it literally feels like the teacher is talking to you and the course is specially made for you. Definitely a 5 star course! Just one suggestion, it would be great if the course contains one more section with a capstone project which solves a real world problem using data analysis. I guess it can still be added in the future.

Colt is a great teacher. His videos are short and straight to the point with some of his humor thrown in. This course is best for anyone who wants to use their python knowledge in the world of Data Science and Data Analysis. His first 15 sections are really good. The exercises are very helpful to hammer home the concepts taught in the videos. After section 16, we are on our own on practicing what was taught. His final section should have had a conclusion video where he could shared his parting thoughts or advice to people on what to do next any suggestions would have been helpful. Overall good course.

Colt is a phenomenal teacher and presents the material in this course very effectively. However, as others have said the course appears to be incomplete, as some sections are missing quizzes and the end of the course appears to be missing at least one lesson. However, even with these drawbacks it remains a great course.

I don't know what is expected from the student as the examples are being executed during the pre-recorded videos. Should students be fully focused on the lecture and observe the lecturer as the examples are being executed, or following along and attempting to replicate each example. Also, and more importantly, I found the exercises provided in each section very useful, however, post-section 15, there were none provided. That was very disappointing.

The course is very good as all Colt's courses. If you want to learn fast and grasp understanding of this subject I definitely recommend this course as starting one. Unfortunately there are serious cons that is why 4 stars. Cons: No support and I mean zero support. Unlike other Colt's courses in this one no one answering questions some from year ago. Needless to say any of my questions were answered from Colt or his stuff. Unfulfilled promises. Like promised numpy section year ago still not there. And more that I won't write here, but you can find out in a comments. Last third of the course is rushed, incomplete and with no exercises. No final exercise. Conclusion: I expected from Colt the same support and quality as in his other courses but this one didn't deliver. Overall the course is very good but it is not final product. Last third needs some work. But I would still buy it as a starter course.

Great course overall! Learned some very valuable concepts that were otherwise difficult to understand. I've enrolled in a lot of online python courses and experienced different teaching methods but Colt's approach to tutoring is by far one of the best so far. His methods are engaging and comprehensive so that even the least experienced programmer is able to keep up. I will definitely be enrolling into more of his online courses in the foreseeable future. Cheers to you, Colt. You truly are an amazing teacher.

Typical awesome Colt-style class. Clear, short lesson, with funny, superficial applications. Few recommendations: 1. Projects. I would really appreciate this for skills/resume-building. 2.The last 6 or 7 sections had no assignments. This was a let-down for me. Usually Colt has a quick lesson, with an immediate assignment to make sure you have the concept down. It was hard to cement my learning. 3. The overlap graphing between matplotlib and pandas was terribly boring. Not sure if there is room for improvement here. 4. A cheatsheet of types of plots for seaborn, based on datatypes (categorical/numeric), (range, density). This would have been a winner. I am too lazy to make it myself. 5. Updates-- Plotly/Dash/Chatgpt. Also, I would appreciate if Colt would move introduce a machine learning class. Numpy, scilearn, pytorch, tensor.

This is a great course to learn how to use Jupyter notebook, pandas, matplotlib and seaborn. There is enough content to get you started with looking at data from csv formats, which is what I needed to do. This is just a data visualisation course, so there are no stats or data science topics in it. Also it does not cover numpy. In summary, this course does teach the basics of data visualisation using pandas/jupyter notebook very well.

This course is one of the best experiences I had at the Udemy. The course is very well-structured. The idea of combining each data frame manipulation syntax introduction and plotting as early as possible is genius! The way it's organized helps me to understand the concept of image plotting from the given library. Following the lecture completion, I have a clear understanding of how each library (pandas, matplotlib, seaborn) works, how to use each library's strength to serve my purpose and how to manipulate pandas data frame in unlimited ways to feed the library. The only regret I had after completing the course is for not finding this course much, much earlier. I hope this course gets a justice rating, becoming a best seller so that many students come to this (right) place. I am not a bot, I am a real person, I don't know Mr. Colt in person. The only way I can offer my help to other fellow students and express my gratitude to the instructor; is by offering my honest review. Do not repeat my mistake, I should have submitted to this course earlier! =D

Just finished the course and as always, the course presented by Colt Steele are excellent. Colt Steele is simply one of the best instructors on the Internet for this type of subject material. The course was well structured, well organized and well presented - very professional. I would just add one comment which was discussed within the course, perhaps add a view lessons to introduce 'numby.' Not a critical necessity but it would be been complimentary to the course material. Thank you Colt Steels for another wonderful course. Regards.
