Thanks, Colt, for the great course. I'm not a beginner programmer (10+ years), but throughout my career I've barely touched these foundational topics. So I decided to dive into the subject of algorithms. It's really nice. I didn't expect that such small, simple tasks and structures could be so interesting. But I want to warn you against the idea that the course is easy. It took me 88 hours. Yes, from 22 hours of video it grew to 88 hours. And I can say even more: this was the second course I took after another popular one, and that first one took me 58 hours with 20 hours of video. In Colt's course you'll solve many more exercises, and some topics are explained much better. You may even get stuck on some tasks. If you're like me, on the fence about which course to choose between these two popular ones (Colt's and Andrei's) — take both, and go through the same subjects twice. Colt dives deeper into the algorithms, while Andrei covers other aspects related to interviews. Good luck!

This class is amazing. I have now completed three of Colt's Udemy classes, and each time I take one it becomes my new favorite. I have taken development classes in both JavaScript and Python from three different instructors, and Colt is, in my opinion, the best of the best. He gives fun and engaging lectures, he provides exceptional examples and exercises, and his classes are just so interesting and fun. If you want to learn JavaScript, HTML, CSS, full stack web development, DSA, and/or anything else in computer science, Colt and his classes are the best.

As a JS developer, it was a bit hard for me to find a well-structured DSA course or playlist, but this course really does the job. Colt is a very good teacher who understands how a student thinks and approaches learning. He explains everything in a way that even beginners can easily grasp each concept. Topics like recursion were taught thoroughly, with plenty of exercises to practice. I’m hoping to see more chapters added to this course, covering more algorithms and patterns. Overall, for someone like me who used to think DSA was a big deal, this course made things much clearer and gave me the confidence to tackle it. It actually feels a bit sad too . Watching his lectures had become part of my daily routine over the past one and a half months. Looking forward to more chapters in this course and more courses from Colt on JS frameworks and the full stack.

I really appreciate how you explain everything from the basics. It makes the course accessible to people who may not have a strong foundation, and no one feels left behind. I struggled a lot to understand Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) during my university years, no matter how hard I tried. But after 3–4 years, when I came across this course, everything finally started to make sense. I truly love this course and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to build a strong understanding of DSA.

I really enjoyed the teaching style and the course content. The only disappointing things were the missing and promised for several years now KMP video, and that the exercises sometimes don't cover all the edge cases - so I needed to double-check everything to be sure that the exercises didn't miss any bugs in my code

Everything has been so clear, straightforward, and well organized. Used to feel kind of overwhelmed by all this info (or the idea of it, really) and kept shying away from actually learning it. Since I'm entirely self-taught I was able to avoid it, but I was really starting to feel like I was holding myself back with that mindset. This course has made it so easy to wrap my head around.

Before this course, DSA felt like a nightmare with infinite recursion. But your step-by-step guidance acted like the perfect base case—bringing everything back under control. Your support during the tougher topics was like having an optimal path always available. And your explanation of Dijkstra’s algorithm? Let’s just say it has permanent priority in my mental queue! Thank you for being an exceptional instructor. I’d definitely recommend this course to anyone wanting to sort out their DSA journey efficiently.

I love the way Colt teaches. This is the second course I've completed from him and the way he explains things I just get it. I was very disappointed by the exercises though. He basically teaches you the basic concepts and then immediately asks you to regurgitate what you've just seen. Instead it would have been nice if for each section he pick out a common interview question, maybe from the blind 75, and explained how the concept applies to a common question. The jump between what's taught in this course and what you'll actually be asked in an interview is hard. It would've been nice to be able to build a strategy to identify common patterns so that users felt more prepared for interviews after the course. I feel like I've been bamboozled because I was led to believe this would help with interview prep. It's like he teaches you the alphabet only and the test will be asking you to write an essay.

A really good course. Colt is a great teacher and the content covered the most common concepts in data structure and algorithm. The course can really help learner to quickly get the idea of basic algorithms and lay a good foundation for further learning.

This is the course I was looking for years .It is structured really well. It builds upon the concepts and makes it very easy to pick up advanced topics . The course is very logically structured and has tons of practice examples which really makes us get it . Highly recommended. This is top notch quality course.
