Course Description
This is the course that will improve your productivity as a developer with GitHub Copilot for one hour a day over 7 days. Click the video for more information.
Did you know: developers who are proficient with GitHub Copilot complete tasks in half the time, and they are 88% more satisfied that those who don't. Generative AI has seen the biggest productivity boost in software development since digital software, and it's just going to get better!
This course is structured for you to succeed by just dedicating one hour every day for 7 days. By the end of this course, you will master GitHub Copilot and know how to use all its features to become an AI-supercharged developer.
Note 1: this course is meant for developers and coders. We will not be using Copilot for “vibe-coding” (i.e., making POCs from scratch that are great as POCs but not fully deployable apps). We will be going through actual developer use-cases that you face on a day-to-day basis. This is not a "no-code" course.
Note 2: We assume that you are already familiar with development concepts and version control system concepts like Git.
This course teaches you how to use GitHub Copilot to leverage AI-powered code completion, chat modes, CLI commands, and advanced features like semantic code search, AI-assisted code reviews, and AI agents. You’ll explore multi-environment support, pull-request summaries, and customization options for efficient coding. We literally go through every single feature in GitHub Copilot.
By the end of this course, you’ll be able to master GitHub Copilot’s diverse functionalities, optimize your development environment, and become proficient in integrating its AI capabilities into your daily workflows.
What is GitHub Copilot?
GitHub Copilot is an AI-powered coding assistant developed by GitHub that suggests code completions, functions, and even entire blocks of code directly within your IDE. It helps developers write code faster by understanding context from comments and existing code to generate relevant suggestions in real time.
GitHub Copilot provides intuitive and intelligent suggestions. Powered by cutting-edge models like GPT-4o, Copilot helps you code smarter, faster, and with fewer errors. With millions of developers already leveraging Copilot, it’s rapidly becoming the go-to solution for modern coding.

I advise F500 companies on how to build intelligent AI-driven solutions, tools, and agents to create impact and improve their productivity, and how organizations can train and empower their employees on how to use AI.
I teach online courses on how to build AI agents and automations for work, how to use AI agentic systems and tools to be more efficient, as well as other Gen AI topics, and have taught more than 500K students while facilitating technical programs at businesses and governmental organizations.
I also run The Intelligent Worker, a platform for teaching working professionals how to be more productive with Gen AI, no-code, automation, and other technologies, with courses and a free newsletter. I'm a speaker on Gen AI to many large organizations, and have written 2 technical books on AI Agents. I believe that absolutely anyone can now create powerful and intelligent agentic systems to improve their productivity and get time back in the day.
I live in Toronto, Canada and I enjoy building random AI apps and playing tennis in my free time.

Es una gran experiencia porque estamos aprendiendo a utilizar la IA de manera correcta, esto para poder aplicarlo en nuestras actividades diarias y así poder optimizar procesos

Great as both an intro and in-depth session for all things GitHub CoPilot. Some of the info is now outdated as VSCode interface has changed and new agent types are now available (Agent, Ask, Plan). Would have also been great to go through some of the advanced stuff for agents, e.g. agent prompts, skills etc.

Very interesting course for someone that hasn't used AI outside of basic copy/paste. He is a very good teacher and strikes a good balance between professional terms and at the same time keeping the CoPilot basic enough to understand for a CoPilot/AI newcomer and an extra bonus is that he has a good voice to listen to for long periods

Awesome GitHub Copilot course that took me through all of the features of GitHub Copilot to help me understand it's full capabilities. I'm now more informed to be able to innovate with my team to push our automation capabilities to the next level!

Henry's charisma makes this course very engaging and it is also very useful with the attached resources. It would be good if there was a possibility to switch on\off the subtitles.

Yes. Alot of good information that was new for me. I do use VS Code with copilot regulary but this highlighted a lot of useful features to leverage

I had to take this course because it was assigned by my employer. I had run across most of this during my experimentation with CoPilot. I enjoyed Henry's delivery and kept me engaged while I listened and tried most of what he suggested in C# code instead of Python.

A good overview of integration into VS Code and how to maximize the potential of Github Copilot in your everyday development. Content could be updated, but that should be expected at the rate that tooling is moving in the AI space.
By Charles Kruger on 3/4/2026
Very informative and help full. Great help in getting through the AI/Copilot noise and getting to the actual useful stuff that I will be using daily.
By Sebastian Hillbrecht on 2/19/2026
Good and authentic tutor, easy to follow, good pace. At times, the information was already outdated (not being Henry's fault!) and should be updated. Also, it seems that some of the mentioned features are not available in some IDEs like Visual Studio 22 and 26.
