Google Sheets Fundamentals (Udemy.com)

Clear, concise explanations, no fluff and used great visuals to demonstrate the different tools Google Sheets has to offer. Although I was already aware of a lot of these functions, I still gave this course 5 stars because a) I wasn't expecting anything too advanced, b) the presentation was fantastic and effective and c) I still learned some things.

I only had a basic knowledge of spreadsheets and this course gave me a much better understanding of how they work. I'd tried similar courses before but always got stuck because they were too tedious. This teacher is amazing, he makes learning spreadsheets almost fun! I hope he will consider creating a more advanced Google Sheets course soon.

An excellent introduction. The most important functions are explained. Mark shows us that you can do a lot with Google Sheets. I would have liked to hear a bit more about statistical and mathematical functions, but this course is as stated an introduction and Mark has done this very well. (Although this may be overshooting an introduction: It would be interesting to know how rich Google Sheets feature set is compared to that of Excel or LibreOffice Calc). Google Sheets has the great advantage of being shared directly on the internet so that the work-group can access it directly. Mark did a good job of highlighting this. (At the same time, this is a big disadvantage of Googe Sheets: you have to maintain an internet connection).

I enjoyed this course. it's very much a beginners guide to Google sheets covering all of the basics. From building the sheet, adding formula's, reviewing and sharing. I would have liked to have seen it cover a bit more detail in some areas but as a beginners course it was was very good. The instructor was experienced and very understandable,

This course was very informative and presented in a engaging manner. Having some years using Excel, I was surprised at all of the options and ease of use features that Google Sheets contains / offers. This course will be very useful to those who are about to start using Google Sheets as their spread sheet tool of choice. Mark covers many features in an engaging way, with examples, allowing the student to clearly grasp its functionality. Another great course!

I watched the whole course straight through and have mixed feelings. On the one hand, the course is excellent. It is absolutely professionally prepared, technically perfect; Mark speaks matter-of-factly, fully understandable, and encourages you to try it yourself. I especially liked that the course was not based on mathematical or programming examples as I expected, but on everyday ones: geography, food, music, or education - my favourite field. On the other hand, all the instructions and advice are really about absolutely basic things. Finding Google Sheets online, getting started, formatting of numbers, even formatting of text - this is a total primer.... And one request to Mark - why are you still standing? When you want to do something on the computer, you have to bend down. A few more courses like that and your spine won't stand it :) To make a long story short: for those who need such a primer - I highly recommend this course, you will not find better. But only for a promotional price. It is not worth the more expensive.

Yes! I have used MS Excel, but I was not that familiar with Google Sheets. I see similarities, but I also see ways where Google spreadsheets are easier to use and more productive. I like this course, and I think I will utilize Google Sheets more often. The explanations were very understandable.

I've taken other courses from Mark Lansoff and they are always great, well-paced, and full of rich content! I blended quite well in this course with my knowledge of excel that I had required from previously attended courses. This course is great for beginners and is a course you should learn.

Mark does a great job covering the basics of Google Sheets. There's plenty of examples and sample sheets to practice with. Since Mark gets right down to business and stays on topic he's able to cover a lot of information in a very short amount of time. A+ work as usual.

Everything is explained in detail in a upbeat but professional manner. The path of the course is very well thought out in a logical way - enabling anyone following the course to get some 'quick wins'. Mark is very thorough and a great teacher / trainer. I have followed Mark over a number of courses and this one, like all his other courses is absolutely first class. Mark avoids a bloated course format and relies on a no nonsense approach. As always - Superb in every way.
