Maxim & Olivier Leirman
Hi, we are Maxim & Olivier Leirman, twins, best friends, and both on a mission to transform the world into a more epic and enjoyable place.
We graduated in Business Economics at the KU Leuven University and worked as Freelance Business Designers since 2015. Until now, we've written strategies that raised more than 1.5 million euros in seed funding for several start-up projects.
In the past, we were fairly addicted to video games often playing for 14-hours a day. In 2017, we wondered why games are so engaging and what we can learn from this to increase business value.
Understanding how motivation and behavior really works, is KEY for this to happen. While motivation is one of the most researched topics out there, there is not a single model available on the market that helps us think about our core motivational drivers when designing products, campaigns, and environments for human beings. (Like the Business Model Canvas helps business designers think about innovative business models)
After obtaining more than 14 certificates, reading many academic papers, and getting insights from 300+ books in multiple knowledge domains, we developed an easy-to-use framework that changes the way we design things based on scientific evidence.
It helps you create engaging experiences and deliver products, campaigns, and workplaces that people enjoy.

The course is very informative as it brings out the psychological side to product development. It plays on the intrinsic forces that are inherent in every human being to grow sales. Just like this rating that I'm currently typing! :) Only issue was the sound quality and transition "music".

Room for improvement. Section 2 felt very rushed and it was difficult to take in and digest all the information. I would have liked more time to look at the slides (and speakers talked too fast). I found the breakers at every start and end of the session very annoying. Some quizzes along the way would have been good to keep the attention and learning. A fine walk through of the framework but not so hands-on in terms of how to apply it to ones establish business. I also found it very tiring in the end to keep hearing the same product/company examples. And finally, section 5 is missing the "meaningful" force...

Lots of knowledge and many good examples of products and from companies. The explanation goes quick so make sure your finger is near the pause and rewind button. Especially in the motivation and behavior course; a real crash course . The case examples makes it all come to life. A kind of handout / pdf at the start of Section 3 with on it the SIMPSIS framework with its forces, would help during (pauzing) the lectures to keep an overview and to see where you are in the whole of the framework. Maybe it will be added soon . A great job guys.

Insightful course! The 7 Behavioral Forces are explained in detail with lots of examples that helped me to understand how these human drives could be applied to increase business value, design better products or just personal development & lifestyle in general.

Great, interesting course! The course presents ideas that anyone who is designing products, services, websites, apps, organizations, jobs, games, etc should think about. I will definitely refer back to the information in this course when I'm forming ideas for projects and designing features with human behavior in mind. I recommend it to everyone I know to follow those guys. Thanks for the course!

What an inspiring and motivating course! I learned so much in such a short amount of time! Interested in human behavior and the core drivers of motivation? You should definitely follow this course! No, actually everyone should follow this course as it should be basic knowledge so that we have a better understanding of people and how to get them motivated!
