Hello Christine, one year after purchasing your course, I’m now an abacus teacher to many little angels. Thank you, Udemy, for providing such an easy and effective way to learn abacus

By Laila Beidas on 10/18/2023

The instructor's language is not clear, and her explanation is confusing. The course was boring; she could have made a shorter and more informative Abacus course.

By Alexandre Hiro Mitsuuchi on 12/14/2022

Very didatic. Addition and subtraction are very very detailed, and spaced as a good training. Multiplication and division are explained en pasant, maybe giving space for an advanced course?

By Shradha Poojari on 5/4/2021

She has explained well but there should be little details explanation for Division as when we are teaching students. We show them steps and guide them properly. There should be practice sheets for Multiplication and Division

By Sara Khawam on 4/12/2020

- the accent of the teacher makes her speaking a little unclear - the teacher is acting like we are children - the course is moving on really slowly

By Rana Mazin Albukhari on 1/20/2019

slow and some things were not explained. ex: why do we start from the unit point? what about the beads next to it? why are we ignoring them? other than that, the practice is heavy and good. still, the accent is a bit hard to follow.

By Lin Lee Yoon on 7/3/2018

The video can be noisy sometime. Probably it meant for young children to pick up the skill too. The pace can be faster in general. However, when it come to to multiplication and division, the pace need to be slower.

By Ray Valiani on 4/22/2018

This is a fantastic intro to the abacus. There is an accent issue but you get used to it. Also, it is targeted toward a younger audience. But, the approach is very slow and methodical.

By Luis Eugenio Ramos on 12/2/2017

: I'd recommend this course for beginners or for children. I've learned how to use the abacus (soroban) by myself up to multiplication. Therefore I may have developed some finger movements that are not optimal. For me this course has been useful to correct some of these finger movements.

By David Stow on 8/3/2017

Step-by-step methodical introduction to abacus. Course is aimed at very young children, but interested adults should not be put off. The style is encouraging, enthusiastic and humorous from a child's perspective. Considerable effort has been invested in making the wording of explanations consistent between worked examples, avoiding confusion and reinforcing learning through repetition. The instructor's pleasant, musical voice retains student engagement throughout.
